Unless you need to give the impression that you are always active in an athletic endeavor, you might try Keen shoes. Functional, durable, and the most comfortable for my feet. I have their hikers and walking shoes. Maybe six pair over the past several decades. They fit my feet. Most of their retail outlets have people capable of giving you a good fit and places to climb or walk to try them out in the store. Finally wore out one pair of boots building my house. By the time we were done, nearly the entire crew was in Keens!

Clark's cloudsteppers are my go to walking shoes these days. I have an outlet store nearby that almost always has 2 pairs for $100.
