Thanks for the update - very interesting to read. Just quick question on the comfort, are you still happy with the ride on short and (especially) long journeys?

Mileage range sounds really impressive. Do you have a standard fuel tank or extended?

Extended 54L.

Seats are very comfortable although firm (but I like that). Comfortable up to around 3hrs then like all seats they start to make you shift about a bit. However the massage option really helps.

Quick update after one year and 6000 miles. Car driving superbly, only had a couple of issues with id9, all around Carplay. I have stopped using voice control as it’s way too hit and miss (mostly miss).

Car is proving impressively frugal, overal mpg is 58.7 and best trip 75 miles over a 45 min drive. Today (temp 25c) did an almost 2hr run which yielded 73mpg picture attached). Plenty enough poke in the 18d engine unless you’re a petrol head, my only issue with not having the xdrive is some front wheel spinnage on gravel which is annoying but otherwise I can’t fault it. Ride and comfort is firm but not too firm and it’s comfortable over 3-4hrs for a 6.ft4 guy.

Very pleased with the choice as I don’t need anythint bigger (came out of X3 and considered an XC40 and Q3 when choosing this).

Happy to answer any questions and will update again on its 2yr anniversary after the first service.

so jealous... we don't get diesels on this side of the Atlantic.

what's the maximum range(in miles) you have experienced on one tank of diesel?

Best range 800 miles
