Remote software upgrade 7/2023.53 - anyone else having issues?

Latest from the dealer is that the Update has finally gone through okay but the battery is seriously degraded after all this and they are replacing it. On order and expected in tomorrow afternoon so hopefully should have my car back Wednesday - 12 days after attempting the update!!!

growing up, I always hoped that someday a family secret woudl come out that she was adpoted or mixed up with another baby after birth in the hospital... but unfortunately, she and I are very much related by blood.

Yup, been a full time photographer for close to 20 years now.

.45 or .53 will not have any changes I don’t think. At least nothing significant. It might be a regional thing. So unless you get it updated in the shop, I don’t think you will get the .53 update

Hi! I have a rather general question: Do I understand correctly that you can have software 07/2023.53 with iDrive8, iDrive 8.5 or iDrive9?
It doesn't work that, for example, version 07/2023.53 is iDrive8.5 and all previous versions of the software were iDrive8?

You can have version 07/2023.53 with iDrive 7. But only a small part of the update would actually apply to iDrive 7.

Anyone else with the same problem: since the 07/2023 update, Digital Art mode is no longer available. I don’t use it, and it doesn’t bother me that it’s no longer there, but I think it’s bad from BMW to remove this after a software “upgrade”

Mine has never had Digital Art from the start. Just Personal, Sport, Efficient, and Expressive.

That’s strange. Some never had it, some got it removed, and some still have it. I wonder if it’s a regional thing

But it seems you don’t have Relax mode. Unless this is specific to users who have the optional lumbar support/massage seats

The way BMW mixes driving modes, ambiences, and customization, and very limited customization for start up, is nonsensical and very frustrating!
1st class platform with UI designed by people ignoring needs/likings of their customers.

I agree. There should be 3 modes, maybe 4 at most. Personal, Sport, and Efficient. More customization of the modes (at least ambient color), and steering feel would be nice.

I'd say, urban, road, and highway modes. Each one candidate as being selected as default mode.....and each one with persistent customization of both driving and ambience every setting!
Anyway, the naming is secondary to being fully customizable (with persistency) and selectble as starting mode.
