Depends on the relationship. If it's a new relationship, I would say the guy pays almost all the time. Once things gets comfortable then it should be close to 50/50.

By her paying it also shows that she isn't just riding on free meals either. It sets a precedent for a possible future relationship. When y'all are together you should pay for x dinner and then she should pay for the next, etc...and then you treat her on special occasions, unless it's your birthday.

there are always exceptions, too. if i reach for the check and she insists to pay, i wont be like, 'YO BITCH, U BETTER LET ME PAY 4 U OR IMMA HIT YOU'. same thing with opening doors for her and offering a jacket when she looks cold as shit. if she opens her own door or says, 'its alright, im fine' then shit, ok. i dont care. i do these things because thats how i am, not because i feel obligated to.
