Along those same lines, I went through both threads and there is idiocy, immaturity, and fanboism on both sides. There were several posters on the 300C forum who respect and recognize the awesome performance of the 335i, just as there are people here who can respect and appreciate the SRT-8. The driver of the SRT-8 may be full of it, but no one knows all the details of this street race to say for sure. Sometimes these threads are entertaining, but as someone mentioned earlier, after awhile it just gets embarrassing.

Not much, headers, off-road x-pipe, porting the intake, Callaway intake and a tune. That's one of the beautiful things about the LS2 motor, cheap and potent mods.
Whole project cost me less than $2,500 and I picked up about 60-65 HP and 55-60 lb of TQ. I plan on being over 500 HP by the end of the year. |

I think that the tale is very believeable. It was perhaps a 6 speed manual and the guy had the traction control off and bogged down. 0-60mph happens very fast and it is very popssible that this happned just the way it was describe.
On another note maybe with a different driver it would be a different event. I wouldn't streess it out too much, overall the BMW 335i is quicker. Carlos |

people in 300c's crack me up. they think they're the hottest shit on the road b/c they have a hemi and its somewhat fast, but tell me whats a better built car? and what will turn heads? no offense to the 300c owners, but some of the guys driving them give you guys a bad reputation.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50514 Oh and as far as that porsche comment goes, I wouldnt know if thats true or not. You now know it cant beat a 385hp/410tq PROCEDE 335, SO the likelihood of it beating that specific porsche seems unreal to me. Thank you, please come again.

http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....&page_number=3 SRT8: 0-60: 4.6 13.2 @ 104.1 MPH Cayenne Turbo S: 0-60: 5.3 13.9 @ 101.2 I wasn't comparing the SRT8 with the 335i, but since you brought that up, it seems that stock by stock, this SUV owns the 335. Regarding that video, (terrible music by the way), its clear that the Procede 335 is a bit faster than the Jeep, or at least from a roll (80 mph aprox), but I wouldn't pay too much attention to these vidds, especially the ones comming from Kuwait. I lived over there for a year and I can tell you from my own experience that these rich kids driving expensive and powerful cars CAN'T drive. |

You know, on the one hand I agree with you about the rich kids in kuwait not being able to drive or taking these vids seriously, BUT then I think to myself...wait, these are more than likely both AT since the MT is slowly dying way and really, how much of a genius do you have to me to step on a pedal? You are right though. Stock for stock, the SUV would kill the 335. You in the military?

[QUOTE=AKbmw;818191]didnt we all see the race between the 335 and the jeep srt8 ... the jeep has 4 x 4 .. giving it advantage from a dig? am i not right.. and STILL the 335 KILLED the keep srt8.. (my bro has the jeep srt8 and it sure as hell is faster than the 330c srt8)
You are 100% right about that. I've driven all SRT8 models and can confirm that the Jeep is faster. And about this race with a 300 SRT8, I think he beat a 335i. Automatic vs manual/ driver getting the feel for his car. And the most important thing is, they only raced to 60 MPH!!!!!!!!!!!! Every one on this forum knows that the 335i is nasty on the top end .

ok, so i think i should clear somthing out... 1st, that video of 335i V.S Jeep SRT8 in kuwait was stock V.S stock. 2nd, both are AT, all you have to do is floor the pedal... 3rd, i dont know how chrysler built thier cars, but the jeep is the faster SRT8 out there, faster than the 300c and the charger... so to conclude: stock 335i AT V.S stock jeep AT ------> 335i won stock 335i AT V.S stock 300c AT------> most probably the 335i will win as well... and please dont generalize,,,,, there are rich kids in kuwait who know nothing about cars and driving, but there are some who are very interested in cars and driving as well...

See, I dont know much about American cars, but I thought a SRT-8 was the same engine in the Charger, 300c, Jeep. I never thought they would be different.
