College: UC Berkeley
Degree: BS Civil Engineering Tution: $13k a year at the time, including room and board. sneering at swarthmore and vassar grads who can't do basic math: priceless. Completion: 4 years Experience: 9/10 Academically rigorous. Lotta nobel's on campus. social life varied by major: engineers typically had little to no social life. 2/10 for social.

A 2-Yr Technical School Degree: Associates Degree in Computer Programming Tuition: $300 a Quarter 15+ Credit Hours(in 1996) $1400 a Semester 15+ Credit Hours (current 2011) still a deal but what cost increase! Completion: 3 Years (worked and went to school had to pay for it by myself) Experience: 6/10 No Sports Teams, no sororities and no fraternaties. Your goal is to finish and get your *ss a job. LOL The parties were always a lot of fun and there were several house parties but you had to be serious if you wanted a job at the end. The programming majors stayed in the lab and didn't get to do much daytime socializing. Everybody else was hanging out when class was over. We were in the lab. Your skill is your ticket to employment. So I had a customer service job all through school but got an IT job in tech support before I graduated. Now I'm a Senior Systems Administrator. So it worked for me. But I really took it seriously......I have other friends that did not...and they are not doing so well. : ![]() Side Note: The girls in Nursing and Medical Assisting programs were hot and so were the girls in the Cosmetology program. ![]()

Syracuse University
BS in Aerospace Engineering 1K per semester freshmen year $200 per semester sophomore -2500 after that I keep getting better scholarships every year haha I'm also still in school, going into 3rd year but I'm doing that abroad in London. So far 7/10 the people are a lot of fun but I've had some awful, awful professors that just didn't give a fuck. The city outside of campus is a bit useless too. But there are some hot chicks to look at while walking from class to class |

College: Case Western Reserve Univ.
Degree: BS Biomedical Engineering (BME), MS BME, PhD BME Tution: $25-30k/year undergrad minus scholarships, $0/year grad Completion: 5 yrs undergrad with coop and working, 2.5 years MS, 6 years PhD (done in a month) Experience: 6/10 undergrad, 7/10 MS, 10/10 PhD. Academically the school was/is very highly ranked, but my undergrad life sucked. There were very few hot chicks, and none of them were doing engineering. The dorms sucked, the food nearby sucked, the cafeteria sucked. I got a parking ticket once for "destroying the aesthetic beauty of Case campus" because I was parked in some dirt (which should've been green grass). I increased my grad study scores only because I enjoyed my research. For my PhD I had the best time, had the best mentors, and worked at the best places. Very rewarding. Now I need to start looking for a real job...
