Mr. Watts is intense!
It looks like they blurred out the word "Performance" in the second video.

+1. I think this was explained months ago. I believed BMW said the X5/X6 M aren't exactly high volume sellers but sell enough to provide them the finances to make cars like the 1M. Depending how you look at it, you either think it's necessary to generate cash or you think it's stupid because it dilutes the brand and moving away from their M roots.

Just when VAG released a power diesel, BMW uppens the ante.
Seriously! Love the sound, should be a beast, and the name is surely 650dM.

I don't care about M or whatever legacy, what M should or should not be. What I care about is if they make good cars or not. And this X6 will probably be my next car. Handling, utility, economy, power - all seems perfectly combined.

Looking forward to seeing that engine...
But please BMW, you are beyond speeding up the camera to make your cars look faster, they are fast enough without camera tricks... ^_^ |

Don't bring it here....
Just LEAVE it here! Remember that these things are gonna be built in South Carolina! But probably export only. Just like the X5/X6 40d.

I want to punch Thomas Schemera in the face, he just feels like a snake oil salesman. Let the visual, noise, numbers, and independent reviews do the talking, not bunch of strangely awkward excited germans trying to sell the car. To a miminal at least blonde german girls.

In the European market every BMW in each segment's best selling model is a diesel. The M50d is to show that you can have a performance diesel that showcases the attributes of your performance brand but with less fuel consumption and emissions.

I don't. He is the one man publicly responsible (there are numerous others within the company, I'm sure, though they didn't share the limelight) for the dilution of the M brand by slapping the M badge on anything that moved, for the introduction of forced induction to the M division, and for using his silly "no dogmas" excuse to callously dismiss decades of tradition.
BMW should have given the job to Dr. Mario Theissen.
