Kind of an older system, but this company (digitalstorm) has a custom cooling solution that can bring the CPU temps into - degrees. For the curious, you will see the material that is used to prevent condensation on the CPU by isolating the entire block:

Is it liquid cooling? Wonder how much that is. Last time I had liquid cooling it leaked all in the inside of my computer and had to completely rebuild it; don't know if I would do it again lol

Every system I have posted has at least one open loop LC application, including my own. I've had mine for about a year and have had zero problems. I also didnt build mine myself though.
All that tubing running around all those systems = liquid. As for price... well it can vary on a lot of things. Radiator size, how many, how much tubing, water blocks, the pump, reservoir(s), ect ect. If you want it done by a company expect to pay big $$$$ for it though. I personally think its worth it though. |

Liquid cooling is fine and not really all that expensive (in relatively basic form) if you piece together your own kit and make sure to assemble it properly, use quality components, maintain it properly (not hard), and don't mix metals that don't get along with each other.
The thing about LC is that you have to do it right, or else you might as well have stuck to air. Air's not that bad in a lot of these cases nowadays if you've got the right HS. |
