You know what guys, I'm going to take my car and crash it into a tree by the highway. Then, I'm going to sue the state of California for putting a tree there! It ain't my fault, it was the state's fault for having a damn tree there!
Sound ridiculous 335rocket? Honestly it's kinda like how you're sounding like to some of us, which is why you don't have our support.

You bought something for your car and you knew there were risks involved. Now that all hell has broken loose and your car is screwed you want someone else to pay for it. It doesnt work like that. Take responsiblity for your actions and learn from it.

APR didn't break ANYTHING. If they had bad code, a lot of other people would have had problems. Sounds like you got a lemon or you don't know how to drive. Regardless, I can't believe you would modify such a problematic vehicle. You were asking for it and got exactly what you deserved.

Wonder if the same "pay to play" mentality would hold true for the proceed guys. If say the company that makes the proceed put just a little to much extra power and later on shows some issues.
Shit same forum members who bitch about rattles and what not would imagine there would be major fits for that.

It is very likely the chip has nothing to do with the problems you are having and if you did not have it the dealer would not have a leg to stand on. You only course of action it to challenge the dealer to prove the chip was at fault. if they can not offer had evidence they they have to fix it. But it requires you to do the work. |

Additionally, you have no case with either Audi or APR, you chose to modify your car and you paid the price for operating outside of the design limits of the car. You'll just have to pay to get it fixed.

yeah, I kind of realize that now. Im just going to have to bite the bullet and pay the price. Ill be able to settle on a reasonable figure with Audi, pay it, and it will be over. Than get rid of the Audi and enjoy the 335

Your not the only person who dealership have tried to get out of warranty repairs on the simply claim the mod did it. I would like to hear their explanation, and if you settle with them make sure then write all down and justify how the chip caused the failure of each and every part they have to replace. |

no, all they said was that everything was caused by the chip. Im going to sit down with the manager at Audi and demand proof that this is what caused the problem before I pay anything. If theres no way of getting out of paying, Ill settle at a lower price which Im sure I can. But like many others said, I chose to mod this car knowing the ramifications and its going to be hard to get out of it. But your right, I want a detailed explanation on what exactly went wrong. Im sure the chip had a big roll in the damages but I really dont know. All I know is that its been anextremely aggrevating experience

My B6 Audi A4 fell apart before I even got the chance to chip it! I only owned the car for 11 months, and traded it in for the down payment on my 328i. My car was NEVER chipped (purchased CPO), but it was in the shop at least once a month, usually for engine related issues.
It may not have been the chip itself that caused the problem, but if your engine had problems before you chipped it, the higher boost levels and operating temperatures could have exacerbated the problems. The clutch wearing prematurely may have been due to aggressive driving...were you doing clutch drops? was the car ever tracked? or just normal "spirited" driving? also was your A4 quattro or front track?
