Great game, not many would have expected that result.
The Spanish looked old and slow. Now it's "our" turn, c'mon Aussies! |

That was a sodomizing. Wow.
Spain has a lot of questions now. It is only one game, but finishing 2nd sets you up with Brazil. Terrible marking on defense and WTH was Casillas doing? I think at minimum you start De Gea. Chile will not be an easy fixture as well.

RvP's header was simple amazing. I don't care if Casillas was 7 feet tall, he wasn't going to get it.

Doesn't it piss you off when you go on Facebook and you see your friends posting shit that has nothing to do with the World Cup??? Seriously isn't the WC the only thing that matters at this moment?

That's ok, thanks.
That last goal was unfortunate but we had to press forward, better to get a third scored against whilst trying to score. We were right back in it through the second half of the first half and most of the second. Shame about the first 20 minutes. Our team has only been together for 5 or 6 games so this Cup was always going to be a challenge, the team should be well prepared for Russia though. |

It was clear as sun that the Dutch were going to play defensively as it was clearly shown in the first half before Van Gaal smartly change his system, so why on earth Del Bosque chose defensive midfielders to start the game i have no idea. This is what Del Bosque deserved and this is what he'll get if he arranges team like this. If they don't want to fly home early Del Bosque should have his priorities checked. De Gea has a great season. He should be in. That disaster of a defender, Pique, should be replaced by Martinez though he's a midfielder not a defender. Koke is far better suited for an attacking formation than Busquets. Silva needs to be fed properly to shine, Busquets can't do that. |

Del Bosque had about 99% of the same players in the same position as he did in 2010. He probably thought : Never change a winning team...
We had 'another' team than back in 2010/2012. I cannot and will not say Spain played badly. TBH the first half they really were the better ones. But that penalty was way out of line. I saw of Mexico vs Cameroun. Could have been 5-0. Some referees are more blind than Stevie W. Terrible. Cheers Robin |
