Performance is always measurable, it's an objective thing. The only measure of performance I've found about the Camaro that is objectively comparable to the Alfa 4C's is the Camaro's 0-60 mph acceleration time... unless you can show me the Camaro's Nurburgring lap time when driven by Horst von Saurma. What the Alfa 4C does, contrary to the Toyobaru for instance, is to bring together performance and handling both mainly based on its extreme lightweight - the Toyobaru can only give you the latter - and that's how the Alfa 4C will be facing the american market. As for the rest of your comments read my post before this one... |

With some measured performance values, not quoted mind you, of the Alfa 4C you can see that it matches the Camaro 1LE even in the 0-400m (~ 1/4 of mile) time. This is serious performance from the Alfa 4C with only 250 hp against a 426 hp beast:

Absolutely a better car, all things considered. What's his name knows this too. Just something to keep him busy with all this nonsense I suppose. I prefer it in white or rhodium silver. Gorgeous automobile . |

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider @ Geneva 2014
Looks like it will be more a Targa than a soft top Spider. It will have Akrapovic exhaust and it seems as if it will have new headlights due to all the criticism. Looing forward to it. |

Nothing one fewer clutch and one more pedal wouldn't fix. At least for me.

Completely agree, but unfortunately the manual trans is going to be a thing of the past for most vehicles. We are a minority. But from my experience the trans in the 4C isn't too bad. Right up there with any other robot manual unit.

Test mules of what appears to be yet another two very lightweight beauty models from Alfa Romeo have been spotted in Serbia and shed some camouflage... if the Alfa 4C serves as an indication, can't wait to see them in person... without camouflage

~$55k USD officially.
http://www.autoblog.com/2014/06/10/a...ns-342-pounds/ Though, if you read, obtaining one at that price is not realistic. I would wait for the 300hp Spider model if it were my purchase anyway. And I'm sure that will crest $80k OTD. Still not a bad price, but with the 15% weight gain in the US it loses some luster. |

This car is so sexy!!! But the fact that we are not allowed to row on our own really diminishes the intimate experience...if porsche offers the MT, Alfa really should too if they want to showthey have passion. I didnt kbow there wont be any manual. I was so looking forward to this car yesterday. Less so now because of the tranny. I am willing to give it a chance, but i really have to test drive it first. I am just afraid i will miss too much the MT. As for the weight gained, if i were to buy this car, i would try to have it strip down. |
