I sure do remember. When I was 10, my parents bought their 1st house. It was around the corner from McDonalds. I had never had McDs before, or any fast food actually. We would scrape around for loose change and go hang out there. Cheese burger, fries and soda for less than $1

edit to the edit: I just read that was the first thing she actually got credit for in 1973, “blonde in a T-Bird” in American Graffiti.

That image is from the movie American Graffiti (1973). One of my all-time favorite movies.

The hamburger and fries price I remember from my childhood in the mid-1950s in Montana and Wyoming was 25¢. IIRC, Coke was 10¢ extra, or 5¢ if you went outside to get it out of the cooler by the gas pumps.

My absolute fave (I know I've posted it here before

) is grandma sending us kids a dollar bill so all four of us could go to our local theater for a double-bill. That was in 1960 in San Francisco when our local movie theater was the Coliseum on 9th Ave. and Clement in the Inner Richmond District..
