Not sure about you, but i go to the gym to build physical, psychological, and spiritual strength, not to impress others with what clothing I'm wearing... And you know what the general truth is? Those who dress like they're "homeless" are usually the strongest, wisest, and most down to earth people...those who dress with brand new, sparkling, "look at me" clothes are usually compensating for many things... You don't like my black torn up hoodie, black sweatpants, and overused shoes, go fuck yourself...my goal's to be the biggest, strongest, fastest, most intelligent, most resilient version of myself, not to impress fashion critics... |

As long as it's not unsanitary and covering up what needs to be covered up, WGAF? I still wear the same three Nike dri fit tees I bought in 2008, all three of them the same color, as well as the same three gym shorts I've had for even longer. They're a bit tattered and worn, but they function just the same as the day I bought them.

I agree with 👆. Who cares as long as you are sanitary and don’t smell like a homeless person with a 5ft radius of BO! Since we are on the clothing attire topic, my gripe is the teens and twenty somethings who cut out the whole side of their shirt leaving a tiny piece of fabric at the bottom to hold it together. C’mon man no one wants to see your nips and rib cage tats. Save that shit for the beach. Just cut the sleeves off like a normal person.

People you’re missing the point. Not saying to drop $$$ on an outfit. But you never know who you’ll run into when you’re outside your home. Treat yourself with respect and look decent. Smh at bunch of hobos trying to defend their laziness to not slob.

Stop concerning yourself with what others think of you. Have more self-confidence. Be a leader; be who YOU want to be, not what others want you to be, or what an ideal or custom tells you to be. I could very easily throw on something else instead of a rugged black hoodie, rugged sweatpants, and rugged shoes. There's no laziness there. But I don't because when I wear my rugged, worn out, beat down outfit is when I feel most comfortable. And when you have 550# on your back and you're shaking at the core to stand up, or 345# on your chest and the only thing you want is to get it off, or your legs are trobbing in pain from the brutality of 200# dumbbell walking lunges wondering how the hell you're supposed to keep going for 10 more steps, you damn well better be certain you're comfortable as hell.

I work out in a beater and tight sweats if I'm in shape, if not it's hoodiemode and old sweatpants. Who cares how you dress if you don't look good naked?

Personally, I just wear lululemon clothing. It's very comfortable, fits well, and looks good. My wife would always buy their clothing I always held out and wore basketball shorts and t-shirts. However, I don't think I could go back now. |

Wear whatever you want to the gym. I’m there for me not anyone else. It’s not a fashion show.

Bottom line, it’s workout clothes. You sweat in it and it gets nasty anyways.

Im going to sweat in it anyways- so anything over 10 bucks is simply not justifiable to work out in (outside of running shoes- gotta protect the feet) I wear tj maxx clearance sale tanks + clearance sale shorts/pants. Sometimes clearance sales man tights but always with an XL shirt to cover up the goods.
Don't want you perverts looking at my junk and all while I'm deadlifting 450+lbs causing your girl to get moist.
