latest addition....flew out to Phoenix area and picked it up, then took it straight to Sedona for some fun on the trails for a couple of days before driving home on Saturday.

Very nice. Still have the 392, too?

That's surprising. I thought the 392 was a keeper for you. My Bronco is the 2.3L 7-sp manual drivetrain. 300 HP/325 TQ I think provides enough power for the 2-door platform. The 2.3L Ecoboost is a fun motor when tied to the manual transmission.

As I'm sure you know, with the 2.7L, Ford offers a tune for $800 that boosts the torque to 433 and HP to 355.

Any engine can be fun with a manual. Manual is the key.

I've had great engines when paired with an auto and or DCT and they're just uninspired. Manual is the key.

Along with being a BMW aficionado, I am a Ford guy at heart. I come pretty much from a (30+ car) Ford family and have owned 8 Fords over my lifetime; my dad bought his Mustang fastback black over red new in 1965, and my mom owned two Mustangs. All in all 5 Mustangs in the family. Every Ford that I have owned has been a manual (none with a tach - lol). The manual in the Bronco is the driving factor why I bought it (and it has a crappy digital tach - lol).

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Digital tachs and gauges are so wrong. Feels and looks cheap. Wish all marques would just go back to analogue gauges.

Mine wasn't a 392, it was just a 2.0T JLUR which is plenty for a Jeep

I sold it to appease the boss lady when I bought the R8 and let her pick a more affordable replacement for the JLUR.

So I upgraded the sports car from the Cayman to the R8 and downgraded the Jeep to a Bronco Sport....

A year later I Jedi mind tricked her into selling the Bronco Sport for the big Bronco and it all worked out in the end

We were actually on our way to a dealership to go get a 2025 base model in the new Desert Sand color, but luckily traffic was bad so we turned around and went back home.... Gave me time to realize buying a low mile used one with all the goodies I wanted like Sasquatch package, towing, LED, etc for less than a bare bones base model was the way to go...Found the right one out in Phoenix so we flew out there and picked it up and took it straight to Sedona for some fun on the trails....

Loved my JLUR, but the Bronco is just a better all aound vehichle and it looks much better too imo.

It is not as good for serious rock crawling as the JLUR, but it is better in every other aspect...

The Bronco is NOT a downgrade. Jeep sucks now. Just my humble opinion.

I was talking about going from a JLUR to a Bronco Sport(the little Bronco)...It is a downgrade as far as off-road capabilites and economically compared to my old JLUR, but was still a great car

Not talking about the big Bronco that we just got...which I agree is better than my old JLUR in some respects in certain areas, but the JLUR was great too.

Apologies, I thought the JL was a 392. I had a 1st Gen Wrangler ('95 YJ) Base. My wife got it for her snow car when she lived in New York. My near-base Bronco (Black Diamond) is like a Cadillac compared to the YJ. But I loved the YJ for what it was. Glad I got my Bronco before Ford upped the pricing and dropped the Black Diamond.

392 Wrangler is one of the best DD’s ever made aside from the abysmal gas mileage. Wouldn’t be so bad if they made it with a bigger tank but stopping every 150 miles for gas sucks.

Got some tint for the Ghost.
