Monday morning 2 young police officers (24f, 29m) were killed by gunfire during a routine street control by at least 3 men which are probably poachers who were scared to get caught with some illegal dead wildmeat into their trunks.
I confess that this new qualitiy of violence in Germany makes me speechless.

That is incredibly sad. It's all senseless.

Audi S and RS and Subaru WRX seems to lead the field with those grunts and bangs, M cars because of exhaust manifold configuration can't get that unless catless downpipes are fitted and then it's weak, some youngsters even buy audi RS's for the specific reason of having that exhaust reverb

Im a bit torn on what to do professionally...

Background:
My manager currently holds two positions, and after discussing it with him we agreed it would be best to split up his two managements roles and I would move up into one and take the responsibility (with no pay increase). Then we talked to the Dir. Of Ops, and he basically shot the entire idea down, gave me all the responsibility but not organizational change.

Last friday, I was offered Director Of Engineering at a company that has been trying to get me for the last month. A sizeable pay increase, matching benefits, closer to home, but its a smaller/newer company and stability is a little bit of concern.

Im pretty happy at the moment where I currently work, the people I work with, and the owners but Im concerned ill never be able to hold such a "prestigious" position within this current company. But im leaning towards jumping ship...

I'd try talking to your current D of O and tell him about the other company's offer and see if he'll match the wage increase. Play up the wage increase and the shorter commute. If he won't deal then you have your answer and your new job.

So of course an increase in my salary would be nice but I'm more concerned about not being able to advance my career at my current employer.

I confess the doping scandal in the Winter Olympics bothers me more than it should. For those not aware, it's involving a Russian, wait I mean "ROC" skater that tested positive for a banned substance and is being allowed to continue competing in these games. As a casual viewer I can't imagine how much more upsetting it would be if I spent my entire life training to compete for a medal, cleanly.

Yeah I get it. The reality is doping is present in the majority of professional sports.

I confess my stomach is in shambles. My mental fog is thick. Debating going home early as I never take any "sick" time. Post-super bowl Monday is hitting me hard - just want to reset and it to be Tuesday already. Hanging on by a thread

I got in to way too much of a few things yesterday. 4 mile run followed by an hour yoga session at a local brewery. Then had 3 beers at that brewery following by 2 at another. Then home for more beers and liquor (tequila/vodka) because some bright person thought that would wake us up. Wellllll it did to an extent. Beers kept flowing coupled with cheese/meat board, home made wings, home made meatballs, buffalo chicken dip, tons of deserts, and more beer.

Some how I made it to the end of the game. Regret bulk of the decisions made yesterday as I feel a level above awful today.

Be careful with that. A friend had a mobile app deposit fail and his bank wouldn't accept the cheque at the teller. They said it had "failed to clear" and would have to be reissued by original writer. It turned into a major PITA for him.

Well I'm keeping the original hard copy of the check until it clears so I would imagine it won't be a problem. FWIW, very smooth working with my Bank of America app.

Wait, whut??? I had tea after a yoga session once in the studio, but that's about it. It was cold that day, so instructor shared a pot. Cold, being like 58.

The brusher generates a plain ice surface and the curl floates on a very thin water film above it.
Ban confession necessary?
