I'm not sure SCOTUS has an issue with bump stocks per se. I think they just made the right call that mechanically it is a stretch to call them making the weapon automatic. And that the ATF needs to stop making law. They are the policing arm not the legislative arm. I approve. Now if only our politicians would take the gloves off on policing violent criminals.

Agreed. A toy for those at the range. Which I doubt is even that much fun as they aimlessly blast ammo at no particular target.

But I agree with SCOTUS. ATF overreach is real and needs reigning in.

LOL - exactly. This has nothing to do with bump stocks being legal or illegal (or even stupid) it has to do with a arm of the government deciding they can make laws on demand to suit their needs.

They are law ENFORCEMENT - not law generation. Stay in your lane ATF.

SCOTUS is not there to make law - they are there to interpret it as it is written. If you don't like the law - then change it......legally.

Exactly. And IMO almost every law today that restricts citizens from buying the same firearms carried by our military as easy as buying liquor or voting is unconstitutional.

I'm not saying it isn't a good idea to maybe make it harder like restricting convicted violent felons but do it properly with legislation that includes change to the BORs.

Stop allowing idiots like Biden or Obama passing "assault weapon bans" which aren't and accomplish nothing in any event.

Felons are already prohibited. The problem is…….they don’t care, and they acquire firearms illegally. Laws don’t impact them.

Yes. Which is why even though those laws edge on unconstitutional I'm OK with them. They don't work because the penalty to them isn't enough to prevent them breaking that law. The next step would be real enforcement. By that I mean if a violent felon is caught with a firearm NO EXCEPTIONS prison term. DAs barter away too many charges against real criminals. Your day would be like the Maytag repairman if DAs actually worked to put career criminals behind bars.

There is plenty of penalty to use - the problem is they do not use it. They want to take guns away from people with ZERO criminal records in the name of "safety", yet put career criminals back on the street instantly that actually commit violence with guns.

Yup. Agree 100%. It's the DAs that let it slide in the name of compassion. Where is the compassion for the victims?

And why penalize innocent citizens going about their lives who have never preyed on their fellow citizens but use a firearm in self defense? I think we are all on the same page here.

Picked up a Sig M18 and the build immediately went off the rails. Added a Mischief Machine full sized commander frame, The Sig Armory Competition Trigger with Armory Craft double adjustable trigger shoe, Agency Arms Syndicate 51 Urban slide with 4.9 inch barrel and Herrington Arms Comp. Pics when the slide and comp arrives.

Haha. Unfortunately, I live in California so the only legal way for me to get an FCG is to buy an M18 or one of the approved 320s. I would have started with one of those fancy custom gold FCGs if I could

There's always private party transfers. I occasionally see people selling P320/P365 FCU's on Calguns. Usually go for top dollar, but sometimes there are good deals.
