Didn't get to watch the whole game, but I don't think the lakers played that bad. Had plenty of good defensive positions, but weren't able to secure the rebound. Lots of 2nd chance points for the clippers it seems.

Finally skimmed through that dallas game. It was a blowout, but the lakers tried to give that game away in the 2nd half. Too many 3pt attempts in the 3rd and turnover prone in the 4th. Don't think they played that well regardless of the score.
And in the memphis game, it seemed like the missed lots of chances to give dwight the ball down low when he had good position. Blake/clark would swing the ball instead. Howard then got into foul trouble and wasn't much of a factor offensively. |

Am I the only one that notice that KB is playing way too much minutes? Playing almost 48 minutes today and vs the Grizzlies and 40 minutes + all season... I don't know how much he has left in the tank for the playoffs..

We won't be getting far this season. Our best hope is for the front office to fire Pringles.

Kobe has been playing too many minutes all season, but he doesn't seem to have hurt him. The near 48 minute games was because his ankle would stiffen up if he left the game. Not sure if that's still a problem, but the 40+ minutes continue.
In the playoffs, or at least the 1st round or so it shouldn't be an issue with the games being spread out. It would be nice if dantoni didn't have such a short rotation though. The bench is lacking, but with the injuries, I think ebanks and morris couldn't have gotten spot minutes depending on the matchups. |

Will the Lakeshow even make the playoffs? They need help from some teams to squak by Utah.

Yeah, it's gonna be tough... I have a feeling they might miss it.

Even if they do make it in, for all their hardwork, they get a first round invitation to face the Spurs with Duncan/Parker or Thunder with Westbrook/Durant in the 1st round.
At least with the Clippers, I have a reasonable expectation that they can take out Memphis, and possibly, go past the 2nd round as they have big wins over the Thunder, Spurs, and Nuggets during the regular season.

Last time I looked, there are six teams below the Lakers in the Western Conference... But I guess facts mean nothing to haters.

Lakers get a rare win in Portland, beating the Blazers 113-106.
Kobe scores 47 on 14-27 FGs and 18-18 FTs.

Where are all the Kobe haters now. 17 yrs in the league and can still score 47. If it wasn't for him single handedly carrying the entire team on his back, they would be done planning for vacation after that game.
They still may not make it to the play-off's but it certainly isn't going to be because of Kobe. All you stats goons, what other players scored 47 in a game at their 17th yr in the game? I am sure not many. Oh yeah but Kobe sucks, I forgot.

The chants of M-V-P were deafening in the Rose Garden (especially on his last trips to the line). I swear there were more Lakers fans in the arena than there were Blazers fans. Outside of the arena there were Lakers "mosh pits". It was crazy...
