If the beautiful woman is olive skinned on coffee colored sheets, then I agree. Have you got a link to a big file that we can pixel-peep?

I've got an emulation of Portra 400 in my DxO software, I think. I'd be curious to compare to a 5D MkII file, but I don't have a model with anywhere near that complexion.

i am on the look out for a Bronica SQ-A kit though. only with a waist-level finder though. :\

also just picked up a 150mm f/2.8 for the Mamiya. can't wait to test it out on a pretty face.

not sure if my scanner would do it justice, but i'll try to scan one at 6400dpi. be better to peep a drum scan.

alright, Dave. here's a 6400dpi 48-bit color scan, profile converted to web RGB and saved with a setting of 10 (out of 12) to halve the size from 32MB to about 15.
now, mind you, this is a scan with a flat bed scanner that cost under $200. shot at f/1.9 (wide open) and no sharpening applied whatsoever. so you're losing sharpness in all directions: (missed focus margin, and film curl distance from scanner sensor, etc...).
i applied a generous flat curve and got the colors as close as i had the patience for using the Epson Scan software.

Wow! That is nice and she is yummy. I zoomed in on the focus point, taking into account your f/1.9 setting and you can almost touch the detail. 6400 dpi!!! You could blow that up to billboard size. (Maybe that's what you're doing).

it was the standard 500cm and 80/2.8.
