Clamors is one of my favorites. The Balvine is good but I think it's too expensive.

Was at Costco yesterday and saw that they have the 2019 Macallan Classic Cut for $99.99. That’s $20 cheaper vs Total Wine. Also had Whistlepig 10 Years Rye for $59.99 - only $5 cheaper vs TW but they almost never have Whistlepig in stock.

Costco ends up with some good stuff & decent pricing! Sadly all Costco's are not created equal. I follow a guy on IG that gets a crazy selection of Japanese Whiskey at his Costco and mine doesn't get it and we are in the same state

My costco is the Scottsdale AZ one. I've been told (not sure if true) that it sells more liquor than any other costco in the world. Based on the selection I find it believable. I recently bought a bunch of Balvenie 14 year caribbean cask for $70. Always good choices and prices.

Definitely. Local Costco just brought in a bunch of Japanese whisky too. I would try but in general I’m not crazy about it. More of a Scotch guy.

The reason that Costco has deals is because they are ok with taking products in at a lower margin than any other competitor. They make up the difference on the volume they sell and annual membership fees... this why no one including Total can match them often. They actually screw up pricing in the market on a lot of products for this reason... common CPG knowledge. They also make up the difference on their own branded Kirkland products. You guys in Cali are super lucky with liquor because the law allows you to buy your liqour in the part of the store that has everything else and they can place the largest selection there... we here in FL deal with a seperate entrance and spirits must be seperated from the grocery part of the store.

Which one do you go to? I am in Santa Rosa and we don't have the best booze selection. Our wine selection is on point though

Saw this today for the same price as normal Jameson, so grabbed it. Any opinions? I've never tried it before.

Hmm, not bad, but I prefer the basic Jameson. Live and learn.

That stuff is pretty good. I mentioned in a different post, I got my dad a bottle to replace the one that he lost when their house burned down. Gladly I didn't have to pay that heafty mark up though. I paid $268 total for it

I'm all in on letting people decide what something is worth to them. Capitalism is a great thing. But for me whiskey is for drinking and I'm not capable of discerning the delta between $400 scotch and $200 scotch so I sure as hell am not spending that kind of dosh. I felt like a big spender with my 21 year Balvenie Port finish for $270.
