I just don't understand what this solves? If 'bama wins, they win the NC even though LSU already beat them at their home stadium? If LSU wins we learn nothing new, right?

its dumb. the bcs fucked up with the other bowls too. Boise state should be playing michigan not Va tech.

Is it though? I, for one, am boycotting the NC bowl. I feel like they would've made a ton more money if it was OSU vs. LSU. Pretty much everyone (including SEC fans) didn't want to see a rematch... only 'bama fans did (obviously).

For the NC, it was set for #1 vs #2. The voters put them in. But for the Sugar, they get to select who plays in it. So it's obvious they went with the teams with the largest followings.
