When a business doesn't do their job the right way the first time. Nothing grinds my gears more than that.

this

I don't understand how someone can be such an asshole in city streets, then such a mush on the freeway.

When people take credit for what someone else discovered. I hate when that happens, I mean that really grinds my gears.

You know what really grinds my gears?

A generation of uneducated (by choice I might add) teenagers and young 20's raised on hip-hop and pop music that molds their lives. Everything from the grammar, the lack of respect, to the work ethic absolutely appalls me.

For example:
"Fuck you yo I finna make a 100 g's afta my homeboy drops some dope beatz and we make a mixtape cuz we saw [**some random rapper**] do dat shit" - 16 year old high school dropout

Another example:
I was filling up at a gas station and I had a kid ask me "how much dope I had to sell to buy a BMW". I told him I grew up and got a job.

We've raised a generation of kids who cannot read, write, or speak proper English, have no initiative to better themselves, help others, or contribute to society all because we've made it illegal / immoral to properly correct our children and right their wrongful behavior.

Not everyone has raised a generation of morons. There are still some good kids out there.

Don't worry, we hate CT drivers who come to the city. You guys get nervous if another car comes within 20 feet of you, act like lanes actually exist in the city, get flustered if someone honks at you (oh, the horror), never use public transport, and just generally clog up our streets.

The only rule is that you must begin your rant with "You know what really grinds my gears?"

I'll start.

You know what really grinds my gears? When Ticketmaster charges this bullshit convenience charge whenever you buy tickets from them. Yesterday I tried to buy some tickets to a rock concert that would only cost $39 for two tickets. But, noo... Ticketmaster has to stick it's ugly big head into my business and charge me a $14 convenience charge. What convenience are they providing? The ability for me to sit here and use the internet to visit their website and click a few buttons to make a purchase? Are they providing me the unique ability to use my CC to pay for my purchase online? And who the hell comes up with these fees? It's more than 1/3 the price of the ticket itself! F U Ticketmaster, you lost one transaction last night.

... or a gun waived at you by some "folks" in an Escalade when you stop for an emergency vehicle, as opposed to gunning it through an intersection.

You know what really grinds my gears? People riding their bikes on the street when there's a sidewalk six inches to the right of them. These are the so self-centered it's crazy; they confuse traffic and everything with all the cars swerving into the other lane not to hit these bicyclists.

Did someone really give you a drivers license? Bicycles are traffic and they belong on the road. It is against the law to ride a bike on a sidewalk in majority of states.

http://dmv.ca.gov/pubs/hdbk/shr_slow_veh.htm#bike

Quote:
BICYCLES
Bicyclists:

Must obey all traffic signals and stop signs.
Are lawfully permitted to ride on certain sections of roadway in rural areas where there is no alternate route.
Must ride in the same direction as other traffic, not against it.
Shall ride as near to the right curb or edge of the roadway as practical– not on the sidewalk.
Are legally allowed to ride in the center of the lane when moving at the same speed as other traffic.
May move left to pass a parked or moving vehicle, bicycle, animal, avoid debris, or other hazards.
May choose to ride near the left curb or edge of a one-way street.
Should ride single file on a busy or narrow street.
Must make left and right turns in the same way that drivers do, using the same turn lanes. If the bicyclist is traveling straight ahead, he or she should use a through traffic lane rather than ride next to the curb and block traffic making right turns.
Must signal all their intentions to motorists and bicyclists near them.
Must wear a helmet if under the age of 18.
Should carry identification.
Shall not operate a bicycle on a roadway during darkness unless the bicycle is equipped with:
A brake which will enable the operator to make one braked wheel stop on dry, level, clean pavement.
Perhaps you should re-read your driver's handbook, before you killed a cyclist. Your ignorance is appalling.

Lol, I never killed anyone. But you do realize there are tons of parks and bike lanes to ride them as well, don't you? And out of common courtesy they shouldn't do it during rush hour, which is the worst.
