Perth based.
Am told build date is still 12 June, however test drove an x-Line today.

First impressions - It's quiet, It's wow quick & full of tech. No internal camera for those who asked.
Concerns or dislikes - ride seems a little harsh & the turn signal "tick/tock"is pretty loud & obtrusive. Maybe that is why BMW drivers don't use them as much as they should

Took a nice 65km drive home from the dealership and a few short errand trips. Everything is as expected. Decent and smooth acceleration and car is quite stable around bends.

Coming from a G20 330i, it didn’t take long to get familiar with all the functions and control. I do miss buttons and idrive wheel especially when setting up all the shortcuts and customisation. I think once the “initial playing around the menu” is done, it shouldn’t be too much problem with everyday driving

Apart from being my first EV, the biggest wow factor for me is the digital key plus. iPhone in my pocket and no key required.

I live in Sydney and my ship docked at Melbourne then left to Auckland last weekend. My dealer says the estimated delivery date is 26 June which is at least a 4-week delay. Is this similar to what other folks in Sydney have also experienced for their recent orders?

Thanks! Is it also probable that the cars may get transported on a truck?

You can check on the Prixcar website:

https://e2.prixcar.com.au/e2/DirectAccess.jsp?vin=

Enter your VIN at the end of the above link and if your car is booked through prixcar transport, it should give you some idea about where it is at.

Your dealer should also be able to give you some information about where the car is at.

I'm in Syd and same situation. For some reason our cars got loaded onto the Hoegh Tokyo instead of ground transport. You can check with your VIN: https://www.hoeghautoliners.com/my-cargo

Its scheduled to leave Melb 7/6 and arrive at Port Kembla 17/6 (at the earliest). Prepare for July delivery I think...

Mine was built in Feb and is on the Salome, which left Germany a couple of weeks before Grande Cotonou and has now been parked off Port Kembla for 2 weeks. According to the schedules it will be unloaded on Sunday (11 Jun). Ports situation is not great

Note that you can confirm the scheduled unloading at Port Kembla by opening the berthing schedule at https://www.aaterminals.com.au/docum...edule%20-%20PK. They produce a new document every weekday (new link) and things do shift around from day-to-day.

Thanks. My car is on the Hoegh Tokyo too, but the berth schedule is set to 22-Jun-23. I should wish for mid-July delivery.

Mine docked yesterday at Port Kembla, told by dealer on or before 30/6/2023, so just waiting now, assume it needs to be detailed and i also requested tinting.

If you are lucky, it should only be couple of weeks, mine sat in the port for about 6 weeks before getting loaded on on the boat.

Is there any way to track using VIN to know where it's sitting now?

Your dealer should be able to provide the vessel name that the car is on. Then you can track the vessel with any maritime website.
