For real I know the Berkliner needs to be 7 slats on the hardwood floor from the wall. This is the absolute closest it can be to the wall, yet still completely recline without touching the wall....

That shot of your TV. Looks like the Microsoft Blue Screen of Death.

A lesson about my new recliner I learned the hard way. First time I hit the wall I didn't realize it dented the sheetrock. Then it hit again. Later I noticed the damage. I hate fixing crap like this because I always make it worse.

I don't have OCD but there are certain things that annoy me. Shower curtain must be open unless shower is being used and bedroom door must be open also unless I'm inside. Lastly, when someone changes the dial on the car climate control I die slowly inside

IIRC, it is not a 'disease' unless it takes more than 2 hours a day with the rituals. There is also a distinction between having the trait vs the disease.
Most posters here definitely have the trait. |

I am with you on number 1. I also organize them from smallest bills inside and largest bills outside.
I like things in order (although I am not all that organized). If I see something kn a desk that isn't straight, I line them up or stack them up. I tend to like even numbers but my favorite number is 7. I am a bit OCD about my hair. As Barney from How I met Your Mother said, "it takes a lot of effort to make it look effortless." I don't care how it ends up but when leaving the house I want it to look nice (which is relative since it looks effortless). Lol it's crazy I know. When paying my bills or doing anything important involving numbers, I check things over like a dozen times even though they look fine after the 2nd or 3rd time. My pillows must be completely inside their cases. Otherwise I would fix them. When editing photos (usually minor edit), I obsess over the tiniest things. For example, when adjusting brightness in DPP, I would increase it by .03 just to see if it looks better. Then I would increase it again and then decrease it back. I would do that a bunch of times to see which looks best and then I settle on one. Lol this is why I can never do wedding photography. I like things that are symmetrical. I usually look to see if things are symmetrical. If they aren't it usually bugs me. Yup, I have a lot of issues. |

I do the same thing with my bills, smallest to largest in the back... I used to even sort them by serial number when I was younger.
When I get gas, I get it in fixed increments, like $20.00, $50.00, or rounded to the nearest $0.10 or $0.25 increment if it's impractical, such as if I'm filling it up to full. I am fanatical about a clean house, especially if I will be at a hotel or a friend's house that I know is clean; it conveys the feeling of "I just came from somewhere where there's a maid keeping a nice clean room to this slovenly dump" if I don't. I don't really care about symmetrical arrangement, but it does irk me if someone cleaned up and puts something in a completely different corner without asking me... The worst is when they don't know what I'm talking about, meaning I'd have to spend hours looking for it and cleaning the whole house of the resultant mess I've created... I have even prohibited my own mother from visiting my house for this exact reason. Also long story short, my ex was a slob, so it's a no brainer as to why she's an ex now. On the same note, I have an obsession with keeping clean car windows. I always try to wash my car, but if I don't have the time to, I at least wipe my windows clean weekly or even use the windshield washer obsessively; I go through the green fluid about once a month. It gets so bad that sometimes if I'm riding with someone or driving someone else's car, I'd start cleaning their windows. I prefer all doors to be closed, and if I'm leaving the house, all windows. If I'm in the room, I lock the door. Even when I was single and didn't even have roommates, I'm the type that'll still lock the bathroom door. When foods have multiple tastes/categories, I don't separate them first, but I do have it by groups, often saving the tastiest for last, that way I get the aftertaste... Chinese food: Vegetables first, best dish on the table last. Steak and sides: Sides first, steak last. Gummi bears (for example) get complicated: Red with red, green with green and finishing with orange. I tune everything to even numbers or multiples of 5. When I'm in the E90, not only do I do multiples of 2°F with the temperature gauge, but I usually like the ridges of the temp knob to line up on top squarely between the notches or on the notch (in example pic below: Left side knob is OK between the notches, right side is not. The fact that it's set to 71°F is making my OCD senses tingle [EDIT: PS'd it out]). My seating and mirrors have to be perfect, I actually spend many minutes adjusting my seat when I get a new car, and I'm happy that the E90 actually has the memory and electronic seats... In previous cars that was among the secret reasons why I didn't like anybody else driving my car, especially if it was a manual adjustment and inching the seat forwards/backwards is a major PITA. Oh, and don't forget my many vehicular annoyances here. This isn't OCD per se (or at least in the sense of physical organization but more of a mental justification), but if someone calls me between 10:30 PM and 7:00 AM, you either better be sure I'm up at that hour or it's a 911-grade emergency, or you're asking for me to chew you out since I HATE getting my sleep, winding down and/or wake-up time interrupted by trivial BS. If I look at my watch and you're calling at 10:30:01 PM, I'm not answering and my phone is programmed to have DND mode turn on.

It gets better, in the 135i, they don't sync the left and right side controls and even if it's off by 1 deg, I go crazy!

Just did an oil change on my wife's car, and I pour synth from a 5 qt. jug, less 1 qt. which I transfer to a 1 qt. jug, leaving 4 qts. in the jug and no spill. Well, I noticed two specks of dirt in the long funnel, and I spent about 15 min. snaking clean paper towels through the funnel to get the dirt out of it before pouring. Would a dealer do that?!
