Because they are classified by the FDA as food supplements, therefore, they are not subject to the same standards as medicine. In other words, because of the classification, they don't have to prove a thing. Just like laundry detergent that says "New and Improved", may not really be - just marketing.

The technical difference is a full blown infection that your body has to fight off, vs. symptoms which will resolve much sooner than if you really had the flu. Both suck, it's just a matter of how much.

My opinion on cure vs. vaccine. If a vaccine is truly available (or really can be developed for X disease), then my money is on the vaccine.

That's why i mentioned that my belief in God is not the typical fairy tale. God is not some human or humanoid. I stated that i don't buy the 'big man watching us' theory. So there's no one 'watching' us that has the capability of allowing or not allowing terrible things to happen.

Agreed. People take the concept of God WAY too literally. Especially in today's society. There's no magic fucking bubble to stop bad shit from happening. That's life. Religion is more than proof. It requires no explanation to anyone. You simply believe, or you don't.

My dad did a similar thing. Regional director of one of the large pharmas in biotech research and funding. He didn't renew his contract after a few years because it was about profits, not actually looking for the next best thing which involved risks. So he's started his own company. Nice.

If evolution is not real, what scientific value do these experiments have?
