Glad that you found something else and being home more does count. If I land this job near me, I'll be home fifteen (15) hours more per week vs last job. That's a huge difference.

Yeah FL unemployment pays rock bottom. IIRC Louisiana or one of those dirty south States pays $225 a week at most. Laughable.

So last week a temp agency contacted me regarding a position that would be temp to perm so I listened. I had a phone interview with a investment firm doing accounting last Friday and I was told it went well. Yesterday they had me come in and I had to take an Excel test. Well, I've must have did well as they want me to join their team on Monday. More pay and less hours compared to my last job so win win win for me.

Cliff notes: no longer unemployed, start new career on Monday.

Same here. Minus the Wall Street part. Spent a few years in public and recently landed a position in industry as a controller. Amazing how much time there is in the day when you're not working 12+ hours. Lol
