They get a small fee, probably a few hundred. I've financed several cars from them, they don't use PFS, they'll get the best rate from a 3rd party.

So I've looked up Porsche official site and overall I find that the new 911 GT3 has the specs I like and a price I'm comfortable with.

finance experience with who? Rennlist doesn't finance. I always go armed with pre-approved financing from a credit union and let the dealer have it if they can match the rate.
If you want a GT3, better get on a list now for the second run, I believe you'll have a hard time getting one this year.

Good luck getting one anywhere near MSRP. They market for Porsche sports cars is so inflated Andreas Preuninger, Porsche’s head of GT road car development recently spoke out against it, and said he plans on doing something about flipping.

Until that happens, getting anything GT2/GT3 or a 911R (and to a lesser extent, the GT4) for a reasonable price is going to be a bit of a struggle.

in your previous post you mentioned you have financed several cars from "them" and I assume you meant PFS. I'm in no rush. I usually wait for the last yr model anyways incase they need to make some updates or flushes out any bugs. Plus it gives me more time to research

There's a lot to take into account as well. I did mentioned that it doesn't have to be new. While it's nice to buy brand new adding the equipment desired n such these dealer takes advantage of consumer with the over msrp mark up. As one poster noted from Car n Driver: Porsche plans to mitigate those flippers from buying citing "not to punish but a strategy."

Who knows maybe sometimes down the road Porsche will increase units to meet the demands and into the hands of enthusiasts

By them, I meant the dealer arranged financing from 3rd party sources, except when I leased my first one. The rates have been so low it's not smart financially to not finance it.

You're not getting a GT3 for 100K, it ain't gonna happen unless you go way back in year model. MRSP is almost impossible for anything exclusive.

Yeah, i've looked up cars.com, true car and edmunds those GT3, even the older models holds their value really well.
Hopefully, Porsche will execute their plans to mitigate the flippers.

Agree completely. Guy wants to spend his money to pay cash for a $100k Porsche and people tell him the best financial decision is to finance it. The best financial decision is to not buy a $100k Porsche so he should do what he wants. My favorite is when people say he should spend more and finance part of it as if this is part of a good financial decision.

Financing $100k doesn't give you $100k to invest, instead $50k (you have to make the payments from somewhere and at the end of the term you will be close to zero). Then find a low risk way to invest the money (people throw out 10% but 10% is far from a guarantee). So you end up with the investment returns minus the taxes on it, minus the finance rate. If he can afford to pay cash for a $100k car it's possible he doesn't think the possible gain (investment return substantially higher than the finance rate will also come with some risk) is worth all of this hassle or he doesn't like debt. This is the reason I pay cash but on less expensive cars (as a better financial decision at my level of savings/income).
