Tap-Tap... Hello? Where have you been the last 20-30 years? The obvious situation is hardware is the limitation. This is like accusing Apple of intentionally sandbagging your 2011 iPhone 4 from running iOS 12.

I'd rather have full integration with smartphones. 4G Cellular slot that gives me internet. A SD slot or something where I can plug in a Apple or Android software package and make it fully integrated with my smartphone/smart watch etc.

True but Apple usually gives you quite some years backwards compatibility on software...what...about 6 Years with the iPhone 5 being compatible with IOS 12?

With BMW you don't even get free map updates when you buy a new car... kind of a joke when it comes to software.
