Just watched two of my favorite episodes. "Rains of Castamere" and "The Battle of the Bastards". The latter being one of the greatest battles in the show. Just amazing.

I just finished binge watching all seven seasons, in order. Watching Stannis' daughter burn was easily the worst part. The best part? Just one? I don't think there is one. Joeffry poisoned, the dragon saving them in the coliseum, Cersei getting arrested, Littlefinger getting caught by surprise, watching Arya become a total badass.

For me it has to be the Sept getting blown up. Honestly Cersei is my favorite character, I hope she wins in the end even though I doubt it's going to happen. She's just a fantastic character. That whole scene was a masterpiece with all the moving parts and the music, such satisfaction watching those nutjobs getting blown up too. If only Joffrey hadn't died, he'd have dealt with those creeps right away!

Favorite kill/death in the whole series for me was the knife in the face x3 from that episode with the Hound and Arya in the tavern (the infamous chicken scene!). When he's wrestling with that guy, turns the guy's own knife on him, then pushes his head face first into the knife three times was just nutso brutal.

Just finished watching the entire show again. Everything is nice and fresh in the mind. Can't wait for the season opener

If I can make 1 suggestion since there was a big gap from the last season, is to at least watch the last two episodes of season 7 before the new season starts just to get a refresher. I think it's important to remember how certain things played out before continuing on with new season.

I thought it was pretty darn good. I'll try to not give up any spoilers. My only gripe is I thought the scene with Danny and Jon at the waterfall, with the dragons in the background was cheesy and F.

Best one-liners of the episode:

- Sansa re. the wedding to Joffrey: "It had its moments."
- Arya to the Hound after he said "You left me for dead" and she's all "No, I robbed you first."

And how about the little kid the Night King killed? Stuck on that wall. That shriek he let out made my skin crawl.

I missed the part w/ the crossbow, though.....for Tyrion or Jamie? I was thinking the former since that's how he took out Tywin. Either way, it'll be interested if the job is actually gone through with (I'm thinking not).

Wrt the dragons/waterfall, I later wondered if it had to do more w/ Jon's lineage than Dany.

OK, at this point, no one who has not seen the episode should be clicking on and reading this thread thinking they wont get spoilers so here we go. First GOT Season 8 theory of the day:

SPOILER ALERT!!! - At the end of Season 7 as everyone was walking into the dragon pit at King's Landing, Tyrion makes a crack at Bronn about being the queen's lackey. Bronn fires back with "I'm delivering a wanted traitor to the Queen, so I think I'm doing all-right." To which Tyrion reminds Bronn "Whatever she's paying you, I'll pay double." Hmmmmmm. Season 8, Episode 1 has Bronn being given 2 wagons full of gold to take out Jaime and Tyrion with a crossbow. My hunch is Bronn either kills Cersi directly and collects his double payment, or, is somehow deeply involved in orchestrating her death.
