I did the OTA update finally today but I can’t really see any difference specifically on the terrain view or the curve ahead view that I was interested to check. However what changed was that I can now select and see the G meter on the speedometer display. Searched the adaptive content and nothing is there. What the heck?

I saw that English language was redownloaded after the update and all my activation points were lost. Parking brake still engages after shutdown, kept the setting.

Also when plugged to charge my 25e to 80% I realized that the charge had overshot the target by 8% and fount the car at 88%. Creepy stuff

if it's anything like the remote parking feature on the BMW iX, I will never get it, even if it's available for me.

I went on a test drive of the iX last year when my dealer had the BMW EV event. I watched in horror as the salesman(also worked as BMW Genius) crashed into a customer's BMW Z4 parked next to it. He was operating it from his phone and he let go and tried to stop it, but that did not stop it in time. The driver's door of the Z4, as well as the right rear fender and rear door of the iX slowly collided with the Z4. The salesman yelled "NOT AGAIN!!!" (which meant that it had happened before?)

BMW has too many new tech gadgets... most of which are not really 100% ready.

You’re right. Even my friends M3 Touring built in August 2024 with 07/2024 software doesn’t have it available in the connected drive store yet.

I can confirm availability of update to 07/24 here in Czechia on my U11 today. Just succesfully installed. I will drive tomorrow so we will see changes...

Update:
- system is so much faster than before
- parking professional is ready for trial use
- logo of radios appears in the system (in the past was icons from BMW layout only)
- Androind auto working without problems

As per my opinion it is better than before.

Perhaps it will make across the pond to the Continental USA soon. I did not get the 3/2024 until sometime in June. So I’m guessing I’ll see the 7/2024._ _ in myBMW app towards the end of October or early November.

Available in Belgium via OTA since this morning. MY24 from 04/2024. iDrive 9.

For those who had the "auto parking brake" disabled, does it stay on after re-enabling it? Someone mentioned a few months ago that the setting would randomly turn off... hope they fixed that in the OTA version.

Updated in Bulgaria too.
Did not have the "auto parking brake" disable issue, but lost Android Auto. The car returned a message that my Pixel 8 Pro doesn't support AA Managed to enable it only after disconnecting my phone from the car and my car from phone's BT settings.

Noticed that we can now turn seat and steering heating ON, without the climate system being enabled. Useful for some weather conditions.
I also noticed that I have the G-meter view in instrument cluster. I think it was not there before.

Its only for Digital Premium subscribers, so I (and probably most others) don't see it.

Installed the update last evening, my Spotify via the Digital Premium subscription no longer works, it's stuck at "Loading..", despite two 30sec volume button reboots and signing off and in to the app again.

I also noticed the "Very Low" fan setting is now as loud as "Low" used to be, which is now even louder. Before the update "Very Low" was nearly silent.

I couldn't find the Terrain nor Curve ahead views either (with the subscription). The auto parking break setting remained enabled.

Mine is the opposite, I had radio logos from the radios, now I only have generic BMW logos... Go figure 😅

My wish was that Waze could be fully integrated like Google maps but not yet.

For Spotify, the connected drive Store, and comfort access, you may need to wait up to an hour for them to return to normal. After my update, comfort access didn’t work for 30 mins, and the connected drive Store didn’t even show up in the apps list until an hour later.

Regarding fan setting, make sure the settings didn’t revert to auto climate. If you turn off auto climate, the low setting will be quieter.

Pretty sure Waze is being intentionally kept from having that feature by the cellphone manufacturer, not BMW. Apple has Apple Maps display in the instrument cluster, Android has Google Maps. Apple won’t let google maps display in the cluster at all using CarPlay

I don't think it’s a wont-let situation as how to have a nav app support a dashboard display is documented. Google hasn’t done the work.

Agree with FlashMonkey929. There is no way Apple would allow Google or anything other manufacturer replace its own satnav. In Europe, Apple had to, unwillingly, allow some things based on EU laws, so unless it’s forced to do so, it won’t. At least not in its current form. When Apples new generation CarPlay becomes available in new cars, then they might have to allow other satnav options since it is a more comprehensive integration throughout the car
