I only did the update because of the addition of the ASS "button" to the shortcut menu. In reality however performing that function is still a two step process. Many times the updates are more trouble then they are worth.

Downloaded and installed over the weekend on ID9 with no issues. Didn't notice any changes other than the useless shortcut to ASS under favorites (IMO, much easier to choose the console settings button and then disable ASS from the screen).
The only glitch I encountered after installation was that is seemed to have trouble finding my phone and I did a re-pair. Then at some point when issuing voice commands to Google, a message popped up "Voice recognition now handled by Bluetooth device". I haven't been able to replicate it today so maybe it was just a one off thing. Anyone else get this error? Looking at the screenshot in hindsight, I may not have been connected to Android Auto at that point.

* START CAR & LEAVE IN PARK * THEN PUSH & HOLDING DOWN THE CYLINDER VOLUME CONTROL ON CENTER CONSOLE UNTIL THE SCREEN CYCLES OFF & ON 2-3 TIMES. You should see a bunch of moving lines on the screen cycle off & on 2-3 times. This should take about 1 minute. This typically repairs update Glitch’s. |

After installing the update this weekend I immediately got a notification on my BMW app that there was a parking brake malfunction. I don’t think I noticed any notifications in the car as I completed the update. Is this due to the integrated brake systems?

I installed to my mobile and then to the car, I had to drive around 5 miles for it to complete installation. I can say I haven't really noticed any difference. I did have to reapply the 'Auto' handbrake after the installation.

I was hoping this software update would solve the intermittent Auto Hold disengaging. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to have worked as it’s already disengaged twice since the update.
Is anyone else still experiencing this issue? |

Things noticed since this release:
1. Lumbar support bladder will occasionally deflate 2. Auto headlights on more often even before dusk. Hard to predict. 3. ASS / start lag definitely improved but I still turn it off. I do like the new short cut button on the pull down screen. |

What is the issue with the Auto Hold disengaging? I've had an issue since the 7/2024 release with the setting for automatically applying the parking brake becoming unchecked (and thereby failing to apply the brake when parked). Is this a different issue?

Sounds similar. My issue usually occurs when stopping temporarily during a journey, at say traffic lights, the auto hold does not engage when it should. At start of journey the auto hold button will be lit up but then seeems to randomly switch off. There is no pattern or logic to it.
