I regularly drive like a BMW stereotype...
Hard accelerating when entering the highway, swerving through traffic caused by slow driving idiots, not using my signal, etc. The car is just so good I stop caring. I drive the way I do because my car is better engineered and confidence-inspiring than 95% of other cars on the road. |

It was a late night, and I was alone on the road, for some fun, I took a highway on ramp in the rain a bit too fast in my E92 335i, I started drifting, so I applied gas, looked sideways where the car is going, counter steered, everything was going great in my tokyo drift world... and then near the ramp exit, i didn't steer back to straight fast enough, but I let go of the gas too much, so weight transfers forward, grips the front, i snap oversteered and ended up in the barrier... ... Looking back, I should have just let go of the wheel to let it self correct, but I held it tight coz it was some intense sh*t, and everything happens so fast! But if you've never snap oversteered once in your life, you're not a car enthusiast I fulfilled my duty, so I'm not attempting that again.

If anyone is familiar with E39 540i cup holders then you know that they are a complete piece of useless junk.
Left the gym one day with a fresh large cup of vanilla protein shake. Placed it in the passenger side cup holder. Took a sharp left turn and the whole thing tipped over, spilling half onto the passenger seat and half between the seat and the center console. What a mess. Had a lovely fragrance of rotting milk and vanilla for a few weeks. Damn cup holder for reference: |

here in cleveland, I-90 runs through downtown, and a 90 degree curve called deadman's curve goes through the city.
i hit that curve at 85 mph, then powered through and floored it to about 171 mph before slowing down. bout 2am in the morning.

Locked my wife in the X3 with no way to get out. Used the key fob and she was unable to get out of the car as using the fob disables the unlock button in the car and will not allow a door to open...
Valuable lesson learned. Steve |

1. Went into a T-intersection a bit hot in my E36 M3 trying to beat the red light and ended up drifting through the intersection making a left turn. My one friend in the car was freaking out but afterward thought it was so cool. Little did he know it was on accident.
2. Also in my E36 M3, ended up pulling onto a side street of a state highway and banging this chick that I had bent over the hood. It was night time of course, but I could see cars passing by on the highway. Had a bit of a voyeur kick to it. DAMN I miss that M3!!

A few girls. None of them were ever in a BMW or a car with red (BMW calls it chestnut brown) interior. Think that helped.

Personally my mindset aligns with the Germans. At most I put a water bottle in my cupholders. I've never eaten in my cars, ever. |
