160 in the i8.
178 in the M6 with a gear left. Lifted because the road was too harsh. My friend in the Gallardo Superleggera his 196, GPS verified.

Very stable. Growling engine and little wind noise. Extremely stable but I have 255 section front tires and 275 section rear tires. Very different from the M6 which is wailing like a banshee. The chief difference I see in the two is that the M6 has a certain joy in going fast and always wants more while the i8 always feels that it needs to be urged on a bit.

New owner and no race experience. How were the RPM’s dropping and climb again while you were driving at over 160? Were you raving that high in 6th, switch to 7th then 8th at that high of a speed? I didn’t know it was possible of car had that capability. WOW

I vote a perpetual Darwin award for all who feel the need to try to photograph themselves while at speed. Even while sitting on the dyno rollers, it really sets up a bad example.....

148 mph after getting my H&R Springs. Had a local cop in the car with me.
Felt like 80 mph. Did 167mph in my Dad's ZR-1 years ago...that felt like all 167 lol |
