Jeannie Buss as Commander-in-Chief Jerry West as Manager Phil Jackson as Coach searching for his 12th ring Oh, and Kobe revitalized and ready to play on Dwight's team. Sacrilege? I don't think so.. Last edited by F36_CB1K; 04-20-2013 at 11:55 AM.. |

If you really think Stern is in favor of the Lakeshow then he would have approved the trade of CP3 to the Lakers. You must be a Heat "fan". Don't forget who you your guys title.

Hey you're back. Don't forget me. I'm a hardcore kobe hater too. I really thought LA had a chance without kobe against the spurs...still early I hope but this would prove even a bigger point if LA was able to beat spurs without the ballhog.

6 APG for a SG is ballhogging? That's better than half the SG in the league. That's 2 more APG than Durant. I guess he's a ballhog too.

I am so glad Kobe is not playing. They are so much better without that washed up, ball hogging, mediocre, past his prime, takes bad shots player. Blake and Howard with Nash and Pau are a way better team.
Maybe he'll just retire and the Lakers can really win some Championships.

Exactly... The Lakers have the Spurs where they want them.

Kobe is not the downfall of the lakers. Defensively he's either their #1 or #2 behind Howard, but I tend to favor #1 because Kobe can pretty much lock down anyone, even Lebron James. He's definitely their #1 scorerer.
The Lakers are simply weak defensively half court, and in the transition. Jodie Meeks is a huge liability on defense, they might as well not have him run back down the court after a possession. Gau-soft isn't much better, but he can sometimes stand his ground againdt the forwards in the NBA, but guys like Duncan still take him apart.

The series is over when Kobe went out with the injury. They need to amnesty MWP, release Blake, Meeks, and trade Gasol. They can't stop anybody on the break or perimeter.
A young athletic pg is needed (even jarret jack would nicely fit) with Nash coming off the bench playing about 20 mpg. Get Ariza back so they have speed and defense on the perimeter at the 3. Pick up OJ Mayo to plug in the hole until Kobe comes back and bring him off the bench for scoring. Add Ryan Anderson as a stretch 4 to complete the starting line up. Hill, Clark, Nash, Mayo is a solid bench. One can only dream lol |

Where have you been the last 17 years?? Kobe Bryant is a walking legend. He gave NBA and the Lakers half of his life and is mentioned in the same breathe as Magic, Bird, or MJ. The last time I remember any one staying relevant for this long in his career was Kareem. You and I are blessed to watch kB24 to lace up a pair of sneaks for the last 17 years. 7 finals, 5 rings and has proved himself to be of the GOATS in the history of the league. Even at the old age of 34, (more like 38 with his wear and tear with playoffs and Olympics) he is still easily a top 5 player on any given night. You can't blame Kobe for Jim Buss f ing the team up royally by putting the wrong pieces together and hiring Mr. Pringles. The guy willed the lakers to the playoffs for god sakes. |

OJ Mayo can be a possibility but he fits better as a starter. And there isn't much room for the Lakers to have another shooting guard. I doubt New Orleans would trade Anderson. He is having one of the best season of his career right now. Plus, I would take Pau Gasol over Anderson any day as a PF. |

I have no idea why they didn't keep Session. He was pretty much what Lakers needed in the small guard... someone that isn't afraid to attack the basket with the speed. He has a decent shot as well.
