One of my favorite songs when I was a teenager (and one of my teenage crushes) was Carly Simon's "You're So Vain." I lived in Hollywood in the early 70s when the song came out, and I was on Hollywood Blvd frequently. There was a record store that I used to pass by and it had a big poster of Carly Simon from her "No Secrets" album. She was so cute to me, plus the song was so good. The song reached number 1 in the United States.

Mick Jagger sang back up for her in the song. I loved the Rolling Stones so that was a real bonus for me. Also, There was rumor that the song was about Warren Beatty, though Carly said it was about more than one man. She supposedly told a few different people who the song was about.
