I've been trying to figure out which Billy Strings album to buy, but AllMusic is of little help.

Man, that's a great question. Of course, you know my initial thought is "all of them!" If I had to pick just one? Very tough...

The first one is too short. Great song in Dust in a Baggie, but if you're only picking one, let's eliminate that one.

Turmoil and Tinfoil is fantastic. Although I enjoy the album, the music from the album IMHO is best heard live.

Home is fantastic, trippy, excellent music all around. Renewal is a double vinyl set, and I have only been through it twice now. I'd say flip a coin between those 2. Either way, you can't go wrong. We may have another grammy winner in Renewal. Let me know which one you end up with!

My thought is to pass on Renewal & get one of the first two albums, because that is often where the artist is playing what they are most about.
But I just had a revelation: I can go back in this thread & sample many of Billy's songs, probably from all those albums.
