I've thought about learning bass for no other reason than to lean some Justin Chancellor/Tool stuff.
Yeah I figured it could help me relax as well, hence the decision. Same took lesson for a few years, 6th-8th grade lol. I listen to music for majority of my day while not in meetings an all that shit. I've been itching to play again for a while now. My little brother shreds on the guitar, and he moved down this way so figured that could be fun.

Picked this one up. Basically the fastest shipping I could find with decent reviews. Figure I'll have it for awhile.

Nice! I'm a big Ibanez fan! I had an Ibanez RG and still have the Ibanez that my oldest son gave me. It was his first guitar that I bought for him. After playing for about a year, he sold his X Box and Playstation to buy a Gibson SG and he gave me his Ibanez. Proud dad moment and I'll never sell that guitar. Since I have no intent in playing in a band nor having a bunch of equipment in the house, I'm thinking about an Ovation acoustic bass just to play around on.

Nice! I've always been a fan of Ibanez products as well, seem to hold up over time. My second bass was an Ibanez and I enjoyed it, good feel. I bought a small amp to go with it, but figure most of the time I will have my headphones on or the fiance might get a little pissed hahaha.

I debated an acoustic, but for most of the music I want to play it wouldn't be the best fit.

What kind of music are you in to?

Loaded question haha. I'd say anything, but I hate when people give that answer so I'll refrain. Neo-soul music really pleasing to my ears. Rap/R&B, new and old stuff. 60s-70s rock. 90s Alternative rock. As far as what I find most interesting, believe it or not, japanese indie music is wild instrumentally. Bass lines are insane, and some crazy guitar riffs. My fiance thinks I'm weird as hell for listening to it, but like I said, instrumentally they make some really cool stuff.

I'm right there with you musically. I always enjoy the weird stuff too. I used to take gangster rap songs and strum the guitar to them, then begin to sing them in a country styling lyrically. When we would have friends over playing a country version of Dope Man or Boyz in da Hood was always a crowd pleaser.

Got some wall shelving coming in today. That means drilling. I told Wifey to alert the paramedics.

I've been experimenting with "Mr. Bubbles" all week, trying to find a drinkable infused seltzer recipe. That machine can do a pretty good job of squeezing the taste out of any frozen fruit/berry that I've thrown in it, by bringing the bottle up to pressure and just leaving it sit in the fridge overnight.

Still haven't hit upon the "Wow!" formula yet, though.....

This is my last week under a restricted schedule for work, so we are supposed to go back to the norm next week unless something else happens. I have to say, it's been nice waking up at a more relaxed time. I've gotten a lot done at home, spent more time with the dogs and have had time to come up with a game plan how to be better with finances, health ect ect...

With that said, I've got a 3 day weekend so I plan on finishing the brakes on the E36 so I can drive it next week. I've just been on a kick with lower powered cars, it's so refreshing to drive them hard.

Also have to organize the garage once again. I don't know how you guys keep everything clean! Bonus pictures of my helpers:

I just returned my sisters 3 kids (2.5 year old twins & 6 year old). I've had them since Monday giving her a break. First order of business when I walked in the door was a glass of wine!

I believe that deserves a 3 glass minimum.

Got my shelves today. Nightstands and ceiling lamp tomorrow. New desk next week. I'll probably finish redoing my home office just in time to go back to my university office.

I don't know how I am ever going to be able to go back to work after this. I mean, who's going to protect the neighborhood from the garbage truck menace if I'm not home to help bark them away? We live on a dead-end road, and have two garbage trucks (four passes) on Tuesday, another two (four more passes) on Wednesday, and one garbage truck (two passes) on Thursday. The dog and I have our paws full keeping the neighborhood safe!!!!!

WTF. I had a dr appt at 9 to get a sample Libre on my arm. It's now 9:30 and there is only 1 other car in the parking lot. I was safely screened (97.4) and sent to wait in my car
I can see at least 1/2dozen nurses standing at the front window waiting for SOMETHING to do

They're waiting for you to give up and drive away. They're in there discussing how stubborn you are.
