Nope. Meanwhile they'd revealed a "brand new WW2" story. WTH? COD WWII is splendid and need no further bros, EA DICE should take a longer break and consider not to reactivate the gone timeline aka Bad Company 2, even this had played into far east.

I am into il2 sturmovik these days (it is WW2 Eastern-Front warplane simulator). For me to really start enjoying this game 3 pieces of hardware were a necessity:
1 - head tracker (like track IR) 2 - proper metal-gimballed joystick (like VKB Gladiator Pro or Virpil) 3 - quality rudder pedals (like VKB Rudders or MFG Crosswind) Anything less doesn't do this game justice and I wouldn't bother (I know from experience because at first I tried it with el-cheapo Logitech joystick). And I probably shoudn't even call this software product a "game" because for me it has became a hobby: I learned quite a lot about history, features, handling characteristics and various idiosyncrasies of german fighters/attack-planes (so far I only fly german because of high degree of automation of their engine management systems plus the howl of my BF109 G-6's supercharger is quite intoxicating). |

FYI The actual IL-2 was shit. Ineffective. The Stuka, and P-38 were much more feared ground attack aircraft |

I would say that was the most effective fighter plane of World War II Good armaments , good armor, a good dog fighter, very fast. Overall the best fighter, at least as far as being piston engined |

Installed Fortnite on the PC and can't seem to get the hang of it. I could probably buy a regular gaming controller and that would make things 100x easier for me. I've decided to not get the controller because I'm afraid if I get good at it I'll get hooked. I can't go back to staying up all night playing video games .

BTW Stuka is a dog compared to il-2 1943, so is HS-129 but I like the latter nethertheless, it is a scrappy fun little plane with vertical exhaust stacks like in a locomotive (HS-129 was built by Henschell which was primarily manufacturing trains). Anyway, I highly recommend il-2 sturmovik simulation, it recreates WW2 aerial warfare very convincingly. |

Been playing Realm Royale on PC. Its kind of a mix of Fortnite, PUBG, and an MMO as it has classes. Free to play on Steam so worth a try to the PC guys. No building like Fortnite which I dont personally enjoy being not in the Minecraft generation.

I'd vouch for the mouse and keyboard as well for shooter games, nothing beats it. It's just the style of game that demands it, like you'd use a classic controller for a car or sports game, or a joystick for a flying game.
And right now, it's mouse and keyboard time for me, since I've started a millionth game of Darkest Hour (not the Red Orchestra expansion about the Western Front but the Hearts of Iron II overhaul) |
