We did OK, thank you. We are very fortunate. No flooding at our homes or at the business, but it's all around us. A lot of my employees couldn't make it in today, either due to their homes being flooded or just local roads being closed due to floods. It's reminiscent of Sandy 9 years ago.

This was the parking lot of my apartment as well as the building next to me around midnight last night.
Fortunately although my unit is ground level I'm on slightly higher ground so the E92 and my apartment were okay. But you can see some of the other units in the back had water halfway up their door. Happened really fast as the main road flooded and eventually poured mass amounts of water down the driveway all at once. |

My old man's side of the family lived in several houses two blocks north of there, on the other side of the railroad tracks. The last time that I was there was to bury my last grandparent in 2005. You just gave me a flashback of the "nuclear" house! (I think it was near William and N Randolphville?) I wonder what happened to that mess, and if it was remediated or determined to be safe?????

I'm certainly not all "Hell fire and brimstone"! That's a tad extreme. And although I am definitely a man of faith, I also appreciate and understand the Science of Nature, Global Warming and its effects on our Climate. The increase of human population, the expansion of fossil fuel use, the decimation of our precious forests and the very trees and plants that help stabilize Carbon Dioxide and its damaging effects to the Ozone Layer are absolutely real and scientifically proven. What can we do better? The exact solution is probably not clear cut. But what is, are the helpful and productive habits we can apply and use: Stop deforestation. More Solar, Wind and other energy producing methods. Incentivize Carpooling. Stricter regulations and fines for companies who are blatant offenders of pollution causing manufacturing processes. To name a few. Our planet is indeed warming up consistently. Colder regions ice caps are melting. The oceans are rising and warming. We must achieve some type of balance... |

Still around 45 days away. Maybe less for you a little further north.

Not the weather but I miss this view of my analog instrument cluster. I feel like I'm driving a freakin video game.
Carry on.
