I think a lot of people are counting Condit out.
I wouldnt take this match lightly at all. Carlos is a fierce striker with incredible all around skills. This match will be very interesting as they are a similar style of fighter (kinda).

I just checked the fight card and Mirko is fighting again? I thought after his last loss Dana said he is "done in the UFC"? It'll be interesting to see what happens if he loses to Nelson.. there is no way we'd see him again after that...

not sure if anyone saw but Firas Zahabi said the other day, that GSP is more interested in moving down to 155 rather than 185. Saying the only reason why he hasnt yet, is because he is the champ and because Edgar is the 155 champ and they are friends
I would love to see GSP at 155, its such a stacked division and to add him to that mix would be insane. Its pretty much settled that we'll never see GSP v Silva, so this sounds like a pretty good idea to me |

At fight time, he's so lean as it is, I would think he'd have to lose a lot of muscle mass to get that low. But hell, wtf do I know lol? Plus, I wonder if he could keep up with the pace the smaller guys fight at? Would be interesting though

according to Firas, he can make the weight pretty easy. Dont ask me how, I was also under the impressing that he walked around 190 or so but the dude is a freak of nature, so if anyone can, it'll be him
and yea, i think most people are going to see this, if it ever happens, as him ducking Silva. By picking to fight smaller guys instead of bigger guys, the opposite of what Edgar does. Maybe Dana isnt crazy for calling him #2 after all |

I watched the Edgar fight again a few days ago... he's a true warrior. The guy has a ton of heart and never gives up, it's hard to break someone like that.
I've got a bit of cash on Cro-cop and Kongo... Both of them are huge underdogs. I hope they pull off a Win. Any predictions for those 2 fights? |

I hope Cro-cop wins but I'm a meat head fan, both going to be a tough fights for sure
I will say, that Roy Nelson is near impossible to finish. JDS hit him so hard so many times but couldnt KO him, Cro-cop has his hands full for sure. I would love to see him retire after this fight, which is why i hope he wins |

BJ has sucked for a long time... I think, personally, for ever.
I digress, I pretty much believe this was a publicity stunt to get more people interested in the Diaz/GSP fight. On the other hand, I do think GSP would fake an injury to bitch out though as well. Let him fight BJ to get a look at him fighting a guy he dominated. And Carlos just stepping aside from a multi million dollar fight, just like that.... with the possibility of not getting it back? Yeah, would you give up millions, didnt think so. I smell "what the Rock is cooking" if you get the inuendo. |

Yep, but the more shit talking Nick does, the better GSP will be when it's fight day. Everytime someone shoots the shit on George, he fucks em up. I'm sure Carlos is getting a large sum of money under the table to step aside. He wants to fight someone on that same card. |

Big win for Diaz, never seen anyone put a beat down like that on BJ like that. What heart in BJ though he kept walking forward eating every shot and it's not like Diaz doesn't have KO power
As far as Condit, I'm sure he is being taken care of financially on top of getting the next shot. Not sure who he'll fight next but other than Diaz or GSP, I don't see anyone giving him too much of a problem at 170. He's already beaten Ellenberger and McDonald, maybe Shields but after such a loss not sure if that makes much sense? Sad to see both BJ and Cro cop walk away, he was a beast in his time but clearly time to walk away. BJ on the other hand still has the skill and quickness but lacks the motivation to get the cardio he needs at a high level and he's never going to be a gatekeeper, too much pride. |

The most I recall seeing for a purse was 475k, that was Brock's payout including submission bonus. If you add in the sponsors and PPV cut, I still don't see it getting anywhere near a mil for a fight, or "millions" as Daniel put it.

There are no exact numbers but I remember Dana saying GSP and Anderson being close to a mil total but millions, def not
specially a guy like Condit, who is still rather unknown by most |
