Can you PM me with the details of why you think it is a replica please? I have it on a try it out basis from an acquaintance who's asking for a lot of $ for it and says it will come with all the paperwork/box etc. I figured I'd try it out for a bit before making the investment, but perhaps I should take it to a local shop to make sure. But I'd like to know what I should be looking at. Thank you so much for your help.

Anyway, time for a swap. My Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 01, one of my favourite Tag's and watches in general.

Take it to your Authorized dealer or Rolex store.

I'll just leave this here, a real one. The one you posted is a very bad fake, any AD will be able to verify it easily.

Edit: The photo wasn't of my watch, so I'd rather not use it. But as the poster below me said. That was the first of many obvious things I noticed. I don't like listing the tells because it just helps counterfeiters. But if you are ever buying a high dollar item second hand, I would always buy the seller first.
If true, your acquaintance is trying to rip you off selling a fake watch, bad seller = bad watch.

Easy way to tell ...the hands are stacked in the wrong order - GMT hand is supposed to be between the hour and minutes hands

I couldn't get one of the 500 abii's but this franken looks pretty close (pvd coated, bezel and clasp replacements), and makes me happy.

First watch I've ever owned that had green on it.

And yes, I have a one-eyed cat.

BTW, I'm not zipping around in a time machine "appreciating" 3-year-old posts. I just discovered this thread.

no offense, but no

the only thing not listing tells does, is keeps innocent people in the dark, like the poster above, about what to look for in a fake.

Most of the good counterfeiters have bought and studied the real thing and then get to making them. They know exactly what the differences are, and they dont go on to car forums to find the differences....

Test drive C63 AMG last week and hated it.
BMW M is the way to go. Not switching to AMG.

I have noticed that most BMW owners will feel most comfortable in a Audi product if they decide to switch... not sure why as most performance Audis are awd... maybe the styling works or maybe it's the cockpit feel and appearance. I've had both but have also thought about MB... something keeps me from switching, I dunno if its the old man stereotype or just the styling but the new CLS 53 is fire.

BTW, nice hulk... i am keeping my eye out on a Panda SS daytona to co exist with my Sub date... somehow I think I will be waiting a while lol.

I just do not feel good driving AMG. Its not fun how M model is. With AMG, I feel you have to calm and fast. With M, its wild and fast

Good luck on Daytona SS. Very hard to find them though.
