Hey I'm a very bad car mechanic too. I'm glad there ain't that many of us (at least self proclaimed) or else I'd be worried about you stealing my business.

Just laugh with me , I've no problem with that .
But the strange thing is that I can watch all the latest American movies here before you guys do in great quality and for free . Thank god for the Pirate-Bay the biggest and Worldwide , all my friends and family do also for the last 5 years with 0 problems . Another thing I noticed is when I'm downloading movies and look at the trackers I can see for about 90% American users/flags .... Up to you...

Did you not enjoy the EE field? I actually intent to restart college and pursue an electronics engineering degree next semester. I'm getting pretty bored at driving trucks.

I'm a software developer at a very large retailer. Trying to find a way to make some scratch on the side too, my gf sells stuff on etsy in her free time and brings home an extra $3-4k/month.

Electronics engineering is a facet of electrical engineering. My advice to you is to keep your skills broad, it opens up more doors. However, there is nothing wrong with specializing in hardware design which is what i'm assuming you are referring to. There is plenty of opportunity and in my opinion, its turning into a dyeing art which will a) make those skilled in the profession more valuable or b) everything will eventually become outsourced. I see it going both ways depending on the company and specific industry. For example, defense will always remain in the U.S. Especially for design work. If this is a path you want to take, like I mentioned earlier, I highly suggest that you do not dismiss software development. It is a crucial skill for all industries especially engineers. Start with a scripting language which is easier to learn and extremely powerful such as Python (learnpythonthehardway and codecademy) and then move to C/C++. If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a PM. |
