Day 7 and its nearly time to go home

The GF losing her car has taken some of the enjoyment out of the holiday and she has lost some of her enthusiasm for driving. She's very upset about her car being damaged by the towing company.

Anyway, onwards to our final hotel. I say hotel, but its actually a refuge in the mountains. Those of you that have seen The Italian Job, the original, may recognise the place / road. The road at the very end, where the bus hangs over the edge of the road, that is Colle del Nivolet. In reality, it is a dead end. However there is a shelter / refuge there and that is our final stay on this roadtrip.

Of course she is, now she gets to drive "big and heavy car".

Look up Ljubelj/Loibl pass maybe for your next adventure in August, interesting drive for sure.
Had a chance to take it last summer, although I was in Fabia diesel (wagon), I still enjoyed it.

The 1 series looks like it is going to be repatriated back to the UK unrepaired. This can take anything up to 10 days!

So we will be making an official complaint about the whole saga.
