Very true. Majority of buyers neither know, nor care, where their car is assembled.

Can you explain why? Would you rather have your M car come from a factory in Mexico with German employees, or a German factory with Mexican employees? I ask because I am curious if it’s the physical location of the plant or the employees’ nationality.

I bet. In every one of these threads you repeat the same crap on how you won't buy a car if it's not made from Germany. You don't have to repeat yourself. Trying to make it a point continuously makes it seem you have other intentions.

Mexico is a beautiful country and they have some kick ass roads and scenery.
Unfortunately and like everywhere else in Latin America you have to be careful where you go. https://anywhereweroam.com/mexico-road-trip/ And if you feel up to the challenge you can always try your skills on the "Espinazo del Diablo" (The Devil's Backbone) road. Considered one of the most dangerous routes in the world: https://matraxtyres.com/driving-dang...ackbone-devil/ The Baluarte suspension bridge along the Durango-Mazatlán highway:

I prefer my German cars built/produced in Germany. It's a preference.....just like when I go to a Brazilian churrascaria, I expect to be waited on by Brazilians who speak Portuguese and prefer the food to be prepared by Brazilians. I want my carne asada prepared by abuelita and my Italian food prepared by Luigi.

I'm sorry, but it's a BMW....It's a GERMAN car and should be made in GERMANY!!!
That being said, what can you do?? Automakers are opening up plants in different countries and they are going to do what they want to do. |
