Nissan new slogan should be, you get what you payed for. My g35 coupe has fallen apart!!!!! thank god i sold it, within 4 years of owing that car, it went to complete crap and i take care of my cars hard core.
my cousin G37 is already falling apart and just terrible engine noises/squeaks/quality. why would the LC or turning Off VDC even be a option if it voids warranty, that like telling 335i owners, there a swtich to turn on a JB3 or V3 and get 80WHP increase but if u do hit it, you lose warranty. THAT IS PURE BS! i might be wrong here but on the e92/e90 M3's, you cant use launch control a certain numbers of times within a certain timeframe or one LC after another. also the car monitors temps, the tranny/Diffs and engine temps have to be at optimal cool temps to use LC, this IMHO protects the drivetrain and the car and it can be the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE. Nissan is a 100% BS company. |

I was the one who posted the GTR warranty stipulations thread... this was in there. They don't mess around I guess. That car is a long term ticking time bomb if you ask me, so many ridiculously expensive trinkets in its tech I couldn't imagine owning one out of warranty. Too bad the C6 zO6 will do all it does and most of the time better but will still be as reliable as an accord at 130k...

Whereas I got scared sh*tless when I washed my 335i, and turning it back on a bunch of LOUD static and feedback came through the speakers.

whats the big deal really? and why is it a concern for people who do not own a GTR? the 2001, 2002 MY of E46 M3 goodness included exploded engines, which BMW forced owners to pay for in full. it wasnt the owners fault, of course, as it was later found out to be a problem with connecting rods. even then, those who paid for replacement engines were only refunded for half the cost. those who were lucky to receive repairs after the recall received the repairs for free and their warranty extended to 100k miles. however, BMW continues to urge M owners to use BMW-approved 10W60 synthetic oil instead of the usual 5W30. they also recommend that the engine be properly warmed to normal operating temperature before full power is used, and that the accelerator should not be pumped when the vehicle is sitting still with no load on the engine. in other words, dont trash it.
fanboys will jump at anything to call out nissan. god forbid this happens to a precious bmw but oops, it already has |

So by your reasoning, beating on a cold engine is the same as properly using a feature that comes with the car? All I know it that I can turn traction control off, use launch control all I want and still have a warranty. How dare bmw make me use a recommended oil they thoroughly tested and found best for my car! |

From a stop, being the operative phrase.

Typical M3 owner B.S.
You either race from a stop or a roll and, as you just acknowledged, the M3 can't hang from a stop. So are you saying that it'll beat a C63 from a roll?
