Being chased by a big grizzly while out hiking with my husband and dog.
The bears this year in the back country are huge, and if there's enough food, they wont hibernate traditionally. We bring bear spray but I've heard stories from a pal who is a seasoned guide that its not enough sometimes.

it's the surprise that gets me. For example years ago a cockroach stowed away in a duffel bag and proceeded to run up my arm when I unpacked the bag. Having just returned from the tropics I had no idea or time to assess the type of insect flying up my arm.
