I agree - I owned both a 991.2 S and a 991.2T and also had a turbo 4 Cayman GTS as well and they do not provide the sense of occasion an N/A engine does so I have no desire. Both of my 718 GT4s though were great but still are not GT3s. |

The only reason I say this is because I toyed with the idea of getting something else and did receive offers very close to the original MSRP (and it wasn't from only a few people - even the dealer was at 100K for the trade-in) but didn't fancy a 992 especially for an extra 40-50K more. I own the car outright so no sense in needing to sell. Will enjoy it and pass it down to my kids. The 991.1 cars, especially a well optioned S will always be a desirable car especially since you are seeing fewer and fewer nicely spec'd manual cars out there. |

The cheapest manual 991.1 coupe with less than 50K miles is listed at $76K USD and it is a low spec with an accident claim and generally looks a bit shabby. $130K is definitely on the high end but they exist and the ceramic brakes are worth a fortune.

Agreed - the 991 is the next 993 in terms of appreciation. PCCB, manual, and Paint to Sample are all worth well more than a steel, PDK, normal color car. And to think PTS was only $5,500 in 2013 and now would not cost 2X that price.

Hope so! I have a nicely spec’d 991.1 4S 7MT. But its not a garage queen, its driven so the miles do keep racking up.
All the complaints about steering and manual transmission not being good are rubbish. I have three BMW’s, 2 ///M’s and the Porsche is the best steering and best or as good as the best in shifting also. If older 911’s were better in either category they must have been wicked good to complain about the direction the 911 went after. |

I bought my 2019 z06 to get a stick and I’m thrilled that I did. My dealer let me drive an almost new C8 hoping I would trade up. No can do for me. The c8 looks magnificent and handling is superb but seats are unforgiving and I’m not giving up my stick or raw power

The fabricator at work has 2 of them. A black one and a white one. His and hers he says. From what I heard they are outstanding cars, but they don`t look that good to me in person, especially in certain colors.
I prefer the look of the C7. To me, the C7 looks more like what a Corvette should look like

The C8 knocks it out of the park. GM not being afraid to do that is what is great about GM. Ford tries to repackage the mustang over and over and apart from that they sometimes have a GT40ish car that is so far removed from normal stuff that it's not really worth noting. Ford sure ain't taking those kind of chances.

The c8z is in an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT league. Fit and finish, quality of materials and the way it drives. For it to be a legal road car the way it came stock is actually pretty astonishing. From the sound, to the gas mileage, the type of engine of its kind in 2023, it’s remarkable. While I am having a hard time deciding on keeping or selling my c7, there is absolutely no doubt how much better the c8z is to the c7.

Yeah, Ford is coming out with the Mustang GTD, but starting at 300k and a limited run of 1000 or so, and Ford will use an allotment system similar to the one they used with the Ford GT, it`s basically just another car for the rich and famous.

991.2 over the 991.1 for sure. Better looking and brought the manual back to the GT3. 997.2 will probably be the most desirable overall at least since the 993 generation.

MSRP has arrived. Where’s the guy who said everything was sold out for 5 years and they’d forever be over MSRP? lol

Yes that is true for Stingrays, but for Z06’s that day is not yet here unless you are working with the very, very few dealers that have been at MSRP not one dollar more since day one, e.g., Criswell, Ciocca, MacMulkin, Les Stanford and a handful of scattered others. Believe it when you have walked out the door with the key fobs in hand and not paid any more than MSRP. Not going to get sued by anyone at any dealership so I will not say any more other than initial words and even emails promising MSRP and eventual purchase price can be ballparks apart. Let’s just say that what is being presented and out the door price do not match.
