It takes all kinds of people and all kinds of tastes to make the world go 'round. Preppy is HOT!

^ I am just poking fun.

No sideways hats here. Preppy is for the young guys I guess. My nephew is 18 and wears preppy stuff. Not like Skippy in the pic though.

Corneliani suits or jeans on me. Not much in the middle.

I would prefer a woman to say I look handsome and not cute if she is going to say anything regarding clothes.

And my wallet is solid black from some sale rack somewhere. It has a snap closure so my stuff doesn't fall out. Hot selling point.

OP: You go get whatever wallet you want.

Personally, I think jeans and loafers with no socks and a nice dress shirt are HAWT!

Pretty close. Hate socks and get ridiculed for not wearing them with suits. They feel like they are strangling my toes.

Your description is me about as dressed up as I will get unless an event/business specifies otherwise and "No No's".

Shorts/flip flops-the black $1 kind, and a t-shirt. My favorite uniform.

Or buck naked chasing some strange around the back yard with a Bugs Bunny mask on while popping firecrackers.

Yeah, no preppy for me either Gonzo. Of course, Uncle Sam has picked out my daily wardrobe since I was 17; wallet is $20 black leather that has lasted for the last 5 years...it was a great investment

That picture is from Harvard's clothing line, Harvard Yard. I like what they were going for, but the result was poorly executed and it just seems costumey.

Affliction/Ed Hardy/Armani Exchange would probably get a better response from the members of this board.

OP, I say buy the one YOU like the best. I will say I am glad to hear you are saving up to pay cash vs doing something less responsible, like charging the item.

Personally, I can't justify that large of an outlay for a wallet. Of course, while I make a good living, I do not have the financial means that so many on this forum seem to have.

I have a $40 leather wallet that I bought like 6 years ago. It has survived daily use, various field training courses, and my last tour in Iraq and still looks fine.

Montegogogo, I would never ask your age but you just described my attire from my young adulthood in the late 80s through the early nineties: loafers of some sort, no socks, jeans, and a Hilfiger, Polo, or Izod button down (often in pastel colors). A common look in Florida at the time. I'm sitting here chuckling picturing myself from back then.

If you're all about being fresh, buy the Burberry. If you're all about being mint, get the LV.

But if you're all about beatin' up the beat, you need this

Besides, much of the LV and Burberry product line just reek of "look at me, I want to make you think I'm wealthy.", mostly because of their popularity and the people who often carry them. If you put a gun to my head and made me buy an expensive wallet, I'd go with Dunhill:

http://www.dunhill.com/en-gb/catalog...ods/sentryman/

or more generally here:

http://www.dunhill.com/en-gb/catalogue/leathergoods/

Of course when you pull out your wallet most people won't notice the small "d" on it. Your friends might not even know what Dunhill is, but that's kind of the point isn't it... to be understated.

LMAO... my exact thoughts! Nothing wrong with owning a nice wallet. I've always enjoyed owning high quality (understated Gold Pfeil, Hartmann, Tumi, etc) wallets &/or card carriers, but would never even think about "saving up" to buy something to put my money in. too funny!

+2. I'll take the Dunhill over the Burberry or LV any day.

It's the OP's money, if one of these wallets makes him happy, more power to him. At least he's saving and not charging it as someone else stated.

And IMHO the Ed Hardy wallet with the tiger is freaking

this.

If I saw any of my male friends pulling a designer wallet out of his pocket, he'd be hearing ish from the rest of his male friends (yes, I'd tell everyone else) for months.
