remember a 50 shot on a NA aspirated car is not the same as on a FI car.

The only reason i would have to use Nitrous is if i had a big turbo, then i would use a 50-75 shot just to spool the turbo up.

Hey, I use nitrous on my 135i. It's just a small 25hp shot, but nos was my last mod after the FMIC, DP, DDV, Exhaust, meth kit and JB3. I love it!!! If your going to use nos, make sure to data log your timing, boost, knock sensor and A/F. BTW I use a dry shot.

Guys really? Nitrous doesn't belong on a BMW? When did it become wrong to use nitrous to
increase engine output on automobiles manufactured by BMW? If you don't like using nitrous as a power adder that is fine, but to say it only belongs on Mustangs and Civics is ridiculous. By the way, OldBooster is very well respected by the N54 community and he has played with nitrous on his 135, and dyno'd 538lb-ft letting off early with a small shot. A/F ratio stayed safe and steady. He has also made an 11.2 second pass in the quarter. There is nothing wrong with nitrous, same as turbos or superchargers or methanol injection, they are all used for increased engine performance. Thank God there are some intelligent people on this site. |

Can i make a request.
for all the guys who have never personally used nitrous, can you stop making negative comments about it? you are obviously misinformed about the proper usage of nitrous. nitrous and turbos complement each other very well if configured properly. Obviously like anything else, if abused or misused it can lead to problems. |
