I can honestly say I love working for Chase. They are a great institution to be working for. I also feel, and not because I work there but as a consumer, they have the edge on consumer banking products, features, and benefits. Of course its a giant bank so you probably will not get the best rates and/or certain feature and benefits like you would from smaller banks or credit unions. But if i was in the market for banking, I personally would go with Chase.

I hate Chase. I have BofA now and don't love it but can't complain either. Chase on the other held my tax refund for 8+ months while telling me they had rejected it and sent it back to the gov't to issue me a paper check (I had given the wrong account # for a direct deposit - long story)
Either way, when it came down to it, all those "recorded conversations" that I had with Chase representatives and them telling me that they had seen the deposit attempt, and confirmed they bounced it back to the gov't were mysteriously gone. It took me going into a local branch and talking to an account manager, Chase representative, and IRS employee on conference call for them to magically "find" the money. Basically played the float for 8 months or so. I had the total converted for a standard Chase savings account apr over the time it was held from me but was laughed at when I asked for a slightly higher compensation. Chase/JP Morgan is on a short list of companies I will not do business with ever again. |
