Read some books. Get advice. I've been options trading since I was a teen and am now a multi-millionaire. Seriously, no matter if you triple your money by the end of the month it wouldn't matter unless you have some sort of financial education. And I've been making money shorting stocks and buying put options. I'd long CSCO right now though. It's trading at 52 week lows and the company's prospectus shows it'll go up eventually. Whatever you do, don't get too involved with penny stocks. Ive been trading and investing for years and all i can say is those tempting stocks are so risky! I bought one called CPOW and I'm losing thousands, it's value has gone down 55% since I purchased it. Haha. Oh well. Just get some financial education first and professional advice IMHO. Good luck and tell us what you'll do!

Any ideas on what I should pick up reading? Should I bother with the University Courses in Commerce or would picking up books and reading over summer be more educational?

Spend most of it on strippers and coke and save the rest for the F3X M3. You can thank me later.

I moved down to Richmond area about 3 years ago, and the first winter I put 60 miles in on Thanksgiving and it was 100 degrees. Same year, New Years was 65 and I put 50 miles in... But that was before I was gainfully employed.

Last few weekends I've been out and it has killed what little (and I mean miniscule) motivation I had to ride on the trainer. Trained ride last night was 20 minutes - took me longer to set shit up and take it down than I rode.

What do you guys ride? Roadies or MTB or cross are all of the above?

OP: go to the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg News, Forbes, and read every article you can on investing. EVERYTHING. You've gotten a TON of advice here, and short of telling you how many shares to buy of what particular thing, you have enough to get going. My Rollover IRA has about doubled in the past two years. Considering the broader market was done the same, it's not really a feat. This was an usual time and to expect it to happen again is folly.

Now get off this forum full of dumbasses, go learn for yourself. Take 3-4 months to learn as much as you can. Google things like "should I hire a financial advisor?" and you'll have more reading than you know what to do with.

And take a chunk of that money and subscribe to the Wall Street Journal, and read it.

if you want to double your money, open a business..
I personally am not a fan of "gambling" money away in stocks

probably better to keep your money in the bank to "collect dust" at a lower interest than these high risk ones..
You could probably get 4-5% interest with no risk easily

Those people that Pinarello was talking about; This is one of those examples.

I found Robert Kiyosaki's books really informative about creating wealth but there's tons of good book about investing. I don't think investing just means stocks and markets. You can also buy a really nice house right now that's $400k that might be worth a lot more than that a couple years down the road. You might make more money that way. Lol.

You can not be serious... Did you look at that list? IT is a list of best SMALL CITIES to live in...

I don't care how you "dumb hicks" are doing. I also don't care about $400,000.00 5,000 sq ft homes. There is a reason the home is $400,000.00.

It's not my opinion. It is not biased or subjective. If people are willing to pay $800,000.00 for a 2,000 sq ft home. That place is considered more desirable. The market determined the value of the property. Not an opinionated NYer.
